Just got a promotion at my job and I’m going to be able to save enough money for one of these two in the next two years. I was wondering which one I should go with, the R33 GTR or the MK4?
Both are headturners and both are reliable (just don’t buy heavily modified and abused just to save some money). But although RB26DETT being a great engine (properly maintained) the 2JZ is generally more reliable and resistant to abuse.
R33 GTR is the more comfortable drive. Also you have more space in the back seats. I daily my R33 (GTST) with my children in the back often enough. If you just want to drive it at the weekends, then this doesn’t matter too much.
I think the R33 GTR looks more mature, whereas the Supra is the “loud guy”.
R33 GTR has Hicas 4-wheel steering, which is great when propwely maintained (but can also be removed if not your cup of tea). Also it has AWD, which is definitely a plus when you want to put out more power.
Both are great cars. But I would choose the R33 GTR any day. Just my personal preference.

As a 32 GTR owner, get the supra. Much better cars
