AWESOME SURF TRIP SOUTH CHIBA, JAPAN
Okay. How’s it everybody? Today is May 3rd, 20 25 and we headed to South Chiba atama
city. Uh this place called the supposed to have some pretty good
waves coming from the south. Um so we’ll go check it out. So right now it’s
springtime maybe beginning of summer. The temperature is the water temperature still
kind of cold. Maybe about 60 60° to it. 63. Air temperature warming up a little bit. Maybe,
you know, maybe the temperature will be um 65° maybe upper 60s today cuz kind of sunny. It’s
a beautiful day. So, we started off our trip at 5:30, left our house. Uh drive is maybe about 2
hours. So, right now we um just passed Yokohama City and uh as you can see like this is what
industrial area. We’re headed to the aqua line. And um I think that’s Kawasaki over
there. Kawasaki city. Straight ahead. Maybe about 3 miles ahead
is um the Hanetta airport. Hopefully we get some good waves today.
Nice conditions. Should be offshore. Uh hopefully get some head high sets. The
forecast said four to six feet. So see how that goes. Um never been to this spot when
had waves over like over waist chest high. So see how this spot will be. So, yeah,
I brought um a bunch of boards with me. Four boards today. The 610 fun board. Um, six six 56 uh rocket wide
Alic and um 5’8 uh Pisel. Uh what else? And then um my 59 Ara round pin
in case gets up heavy heavy sets. Um yeah. So I think that 59 should take care of you know
anything overhead over here. Check it out Tokyo Bay. That’s the um Yokohama Pier I think. Yeah.
Beautiful day though. Should be sunny all day. So, we’re probably going to spend the night
in South Chiba Tayyama City where they get um don’t put food seafood. So, have some seafood
there for dinner. Try this um marketplace where you can buy seafood and and grill. You know, you
can pick pick what you like to eat and then grill up on site. It’s pretty neat. And then maybe
tomorrow morning and go surf um search side because the wind’s going to change. The wind’s
going to change more from the south. So, so that’s going to surf now onshore. will be on shore tomorrow. Okay, we’ll be back. All right. Okay. How’s it gang? Again, we stay at
Tesura. Feel a little bit onshore wind now, but I parked on the road and then
taking this trail to the surf spot. And um so today today is um May, beginning of
May, so temperature warming up. And um maybe the water should be like mid60s, I hope. And uh
yeah, hopefully get some good surf. So, I get my um Alic um rocket wide and I get this 2 plus
one skank system which work pretty good. Yeah, pretty good. I bought them used. Yeah.
So, Oh, look like it’s some good waves. Not too crowded. Yeah. Check it out. Two
long borders out there. Come join them. Not bad. Might get some laughs over here. Yeah. Beautiful day. Yesterday
it was raining all day. So, it’s a nice day this morning. Yeah.
Oh, look at some rights over there. Oh, perfect. Oh, look at that left. Watch the wild. Watch the surf
little while. See, we get a good spot over the Florida. Looks like boulders washing up. Pretty good. At least get some waves. Oh, choke people down that side. He’s
spotting almost too many people. What’s that inside left over there? just stay right on this inside. Let
me go outside. Yeah, maybe better. I guess coming reform now on this inside
with that inside sandbar. See how that outside set. Yeah. See that thing um reform thing reform on this inside. Oh, bowling left over there.
Oh, maybe that’s the one. See how the thing dial
channel. Step inside over here. Yeah. At least not crowded, man.
Down that side. choke people. Yeah, I think I go just start that left right over there. Let’s get some juice out of here. Pretty good. See, people can leave this stuff
over here on the beach. Nobody bother cooler, too. And then this guy on cooler over here, you know.
So, pretty safe. Oh, how’s that left over there? Let’s try to watch it a while.
See, we got the better waves. Oh, that one is a nice bowling one right there. Okay. Okay, so we’re going to head
out. See you guys later. How’s it everybody? Okay, we at um Tatayyama and
I went surf um down the beach down that side and then um now Right now it’s like 11:00 and I’m
going to have lunch at this place right here. Oh, it look really good. And they get gelato
pasta stone oven brick pizza. So this is the this is the place right? Napolei
pizza. Oh, look good, man. Look at that. Yeah, freaking all of them look good, man. So,
yeah, this is the place like an Italian place. So, and then check it out. Check it out. An onen
right here. I believe this is an onen. I think it is. But awesome. Yeah. Check it out. We’re
going to come here later tonight. Maybe relax. Soaking the onset. There’s another picture of
the place. Oh, look. Really good, man. Again, 11:00 a.m. We’re going to have lunch over here.

nice. Tiramisu apple pie. Oh, nice. Get a nice view over there. All right. Oh, okay. This is dessert sweets desserts. Gelato cake. Soft drinks. Herb tea. Ice. So, do we order over there? I don’t know. Just
looking at what kind of pizza get. Okay. So, we’ll be back when we get our food. I get
all sunscreen on my face. Huh? Sunscreen. [Music] Okay, we got some of our food. Just waiting for
the pasta. So, we had um citrus salad. I don’t know what kind of pizza that super supermarket
pizza maybe. No, I’m just kidding. Ways like onion soup. Um French onion. French onion. French onion
soup. So, we’re just waiting for the pasta now. So, and then um we’re going to ask
for this chili oil chili pepper oil. So, pretty good. So, I was thinking, you know, after we eat,
we go check out this um lighthouse. Yeah. So, right at this lighthouse. It’s on
the southern tip of Chiba. It’s a 20-minut drive from here. So, it look
pretty good. Overlooking the ocean, nice sunset. So, I guess I
hope they open today. You know, Golden Week holidays. this one. But yeah, so okay, we’ll be back when um we
get the pasta. All right. Okay, we got the pasta. So, looks really
good. Like um homemade um homemade noodles. Homemade noodles with squid and
muscles and shrimp and all kinds. Oh, the noodles are good. They’re full already.
Yeah. So, I can still get pizza. So, try Try the noodles. I’ll try them. The ducky. This is chewy. but not too chewy. It’s good. Just the right amount of sauce. [Music] Oh yeah, bread is pretty good. Get the muscle. [Music] the need muscles without any. It’s good. Still get the pizza, too. Okay, we’ll be back for um we’re going to go check out the the lighthouse maybe. And there’s a store too
across the street over there. like a seafood store where you can pick food
and um I think you can cook it there. So, we’re going to go there after.
And then down the road this way, there’s a like a peanut ice cream place. They
don’t put their peanuts and the ice cream. So, try that. Be a tourist today. Okay. We
at the um the pasta place and um they get um animals over here like on the zoo. So um yeah,
you take a picture with the um the giraffe and su. Okay. Taking my picture now. Okay. Wait. Okay.
How’s it everybody? We still at Tatayyama here and we’re going to check out this uh fish market.
So, we just ate at that restaurant over there, cafe. And then now um we’re going to check
out this um this this fish market tatyama. And looks pretty good. Yeah, as you can see some
kind of wholesaler where you can order um food. Yeah. And you can check out the menu here. See the menu. All kind food. Check it out. All kinds seafood. Pretty good, man. Well, we ate already, so we’re just going to check it out.
Maybe later we can have for dinner. Oh. Put this on. I can only make this. Yeah. Okay. A table. A table. Oh, you cannot just look. Can I just look
maybe? I don’t know what this sign say. We just like go look. All you can eat grilled shellfish.
This side is all you can eat. This is general meals. Yeah.
So, it’s just cheese. Oh, not bad. Oh. Oh, wow. So, as you can see, this is
the way you order. You can order a beer. Oh, cocky. Cocky. Yeah. Cocky. How’s the menu? Oh, go for more. Yeah. Worth it. But look pretty
good though. The food. Oh yeah. Yeah. That’s big. Just looking. Look looking. Okay. Okay.
Okay. Thank you. Oh, this is a big place, man. So, this is the buffet place. Oh, this buffet. Oh, ch this 100 yen. Look, one play. Oh, hey. Use this will catch taco. Well, they’re pretty good, huh? Well, you pay you pay for the buffet and then I guess how much cost though? Right here
is the price $4,200. Oh. Oh. Oh, yeah. Oh yeah, for 90 minutes all you can eat seafood.
Oh damn, I scared go this kind. I’m going to get g. I just got to order a separate kind. Okay.
Okay. I mean if you like you can. No. Okay. So yeah, we just came to check it out. I
thought it was on supermarket where you can just buy. But I guess this is a buffet.
Yeah, we go check out the omiyagi. Omiagi. Okay, check out this um outdoor seating. So, let’s go check out this this place right here. Oh, this is a supermarket. Okay. What is this liver? I think all kinds seafood. Squida cooler. Okay. [Music] They get all kind of stuff. Sweet cake. Oh, dried fish. Dried fish. Dried fish. [Applause] I think this the crackers

How’s it everybody? So, we still here at um Tatayyama. Had lunch and then now
check out this uh old harbor here. And um maybe this way. Yeah. Lighthouse. Oh, okay.
So, we’re going to check out the lighthouse now. Just see how this place is. But
it’s like one little town over here. And look, they get some food over here.
Oh, reasonable price. Pretty good. Good food. So, yeah. So check out this lighthouse at
uh Tatayyama. This is like the southernmost um southernmost point of Chiba.
Southernmost point. Yeah, the southern tip of Chiba. So, as you can see, yeah, pretty good walk. Then we will
make our way to the lighthouse. Yeah, temperature today is comfortable. Probably mid60s, upper 60s maybe, Fahrenheit. I
don’t know what Celsius it is, but um the water is still a little
bit cold. Probably 60°. What’s this? Shrine, huh? Shrine. Yeah. So,
Oh, there’s the lighthouse. There’s some Oh, look at the view here. Oh, nice view. Wow. Oh, surf. Look surf set coming. Get that toilet down there. Nice though.
Yeah, nice toilet. Is it? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, let’s go check it out. It’s the lighthouse. See South Chiba. This
is Chiba right here. Tokyo is over here. Then this Tokyo Bay and then you get the
aqua line. Go across here. So this is No Masaki I guess. Yeah. See right here. Oh
aqualine. Look. Somebody even try them in. Yeah. Is it on? I’m not sure if this the camera’s been
on. Also, this construction of the lighthouse was stipulated in Edo Tree concluded in
1866. Oh, 300 yen. So, they closed at 5 4:30. No, five. Okay, let’s go check it out. Nice walking. That nice view. They get some waves. Oh, right there on set. Not really. So, right there.

over here. They have a view of the ocean. So you can see what
the view is here of the shoreline. And then the marker for the
ships coming in and out of um you know the sea of of Tokyo Bay. Yeah. So

what? 1890. No, 1869 when they first built it. The French guy designed and built it and then had an
earthquake and then they rebuilt it again in 1929. Oh, so this is the second one that they

Taho and um this is like one famous um peanut um cumor peanuts. Soft cream peanuts. Let’s go check it out. Oh, the line is long. Some popular place for a lot of people. Yeah. Peanuts. The line is long. It’s a really popular
place. A lot of people come here. Okay. Okay. We’ll be back when um
we get our peanut ice cream because man, the line is super long. Oh, they have another parking lot in the

for us. Look how long the line is, man. Goes pretty fast, I think. Yeah. Okay. Oh, and then um down there is the
um the seafood buffet place we went. Okay. All right. Aloha. Okay. This
is the shop with all kind peanuts. What is that? If you want I don’t want you get all kind. Try this one though. Good. Huh? I like this. What is that? Like just regular clam. Peanut. Which one do
you want? This one. The small one. I don’t know which one is. What’s the difference?
They’re the same. The one is bigger and this is a big That’s the bigger one. Hold it so I can

over there. Yeah, it is. Yeah. Okay. All this get any kind of peanut stuff. All right, guys. Okay. This is the famous um peanut butter
um ice cream. So, we’re going to try it. Oh, man. Wow. This thing tastes like real peanut
butter. Like, [Music] oh man. thing is good, huh? Like if you like peanut butter, this is
like the best peanut butter ice cream you’re ever going to have. Yeah. It’s like
real creamy and strong peanut flavor. Wow. No wonder this place is like super
crowded. Like the line is out the door. Peanut soft creamyama. Oh, this is good. You guys got to try. You guys got to try. If you got me tatyama, this
is the one. And then check it out. We bought some more peanut stuff. Okay. Aloha everybody. After this,
we’re going back to the beach, check out the surf again, stay
overnight, and maybe go to numbers. Okay, how’s it everybody? We’re back at uh Hura
and uh afternoon session going out. Uh right now it’s like 3:00 and uh winds will change
now offshore. You see see the offshore wind. Nice offshore wind park up there. But you
know what? The waves is so junk over here. I’m not going out there. I went out down the
same spot I went out which is down the beach. So yeah, I’m just going to walk down and
then um maybe G can pick me up, you know, she come pick me up and I call her. I
get I I brought my phone with me. So I just leave them on the beach. But yeah,
let’s take check out the spots over here. I mean over I get some waves but
more power go more down over there over there I get a sandbar action
better waves a bit stronger the wave. So, okay. We come back when um I
going to walk I going to walk down um maybe about 500 m down there. Yeah. See
how far it is. Oh, right there. Small pain. Small. Yeah. I don’t know. I’m not going out right there. Okay, we come back then when um check out the
spot where we’ll go out shoots. All right. Okay, that’s it everybody. So today is Sunday
the 4th I think and uh we at Chikura and um I went out early this morning
only had like three guys out now get over 50 guys out as you can see and
this morning was had some bigger sets. Maybe some head high sets. Now it’s like
shoulder waist high swell dropping. Water was cold though. Water was way colder
than yesterday. Way colder than Hua. But nice off winds today. So, the piece
of the wave was holding up. It was nice. Wasn’t like, you know, choppy.
It’s pretty smooth. So, [Applause] one of the more ridable ones right here. So, this morning I went out to write
get rid. I had some pretty good sets and then later on I went out the
lefts over there when the crowd when all these crowd came out. So
this left over there is pretty good. Look at that bowling. Get some sets coming in right here. Good left too right here. Pretty good left. Look at that left right there. So here and
there you can get some pretty good ones. So yeah, I guess that’s the end of our excursion,
two-day excursion. So we’ll probably head back home. So we’ll see you guys on the next trip,
right? Oh, look at that left right there. There’s some sets coming in now. Check the sets coming over there. That one polar real horizontal the wave. Not too vertical. I guess that was the sets. See the
left over there. Look at that. It’s kind of hard. The current was strong over there. food parking lot. Oh, by the way, this the place I
came where you know the the eagles or the hawk hawk went eat the fishcake out of my hand. It
was on the beach. You see the hawk right there on the pool right there? just waiting for like
people to panic and then he going to attack the bugger is ruthless. He just attack. Okay, enough
