You Should Only Eat Food in Japanese Train Stations When You’re in Japan #Shorts
Japanese train stations have the best food in the country. Think about it, a place with food courts, restaurants of all different types of cuisines from Italian to dim sum to sushi and other Japanese classics. The best ramen, bento boxes, okonomiyaki that I had were in train stations. Now, hear me out. It’s not like the dirty ass train stations in America where there’s piss on the floor and rats running around. But I digress. Before I took a bullet train at Tokyo Station, I got a bento box and the options were endless. I personally got a beef and egg rice bowl cuz it was breakfast time. And then I got a pork katu bento because my train was a little long. Then later on in my trip at Hiroshima station, I had to get the Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. And I wasn’t the only one as so many locals were eating there too. However, Kyoto station might be my favorite. They got this section for ramen with each shop specializing in ramen from different regions of Japan. And I got this jam-packed bowl for $17 USD. That’s the price of ramen back home, except they put in two pieces of chasu pork. So, next time you go to Japan, please save yourself some time and eat at the train stations before you take the train.
