Japan has the largest firework in the world called Yon Shakodama. This singular firework weighs almost 1,000 lbs and blooms to a diameter of 2400 ft. Taller and wider than Tokyo Skytree. It’s launched each September in the town Kataka Machi from giant cannons in Japanese. The word for fireworks is hannabi which means flower fire.
