On the 14th, Orix announced that it would not be signing contracts with three players for next season: Shuhei Fukuda (33), Kazutomo Iguchi (31), and Keisuke Honda (32).
Fukuda attended Koryo High School, Meiji University, and NTT East Japan before joining Orix as the third pick in the 2017 draft. He played in 113 games as a rookie in 2018, and in 2019 he played in a career-high 135 games and stole 30 stolen base. However, his playing time has decreased since 2023, and he has only played in 23 games this season.
Iguchi attended Musashino High School and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Hokkaido Okhotsk, before joining Nippon-Ham as the third pick in the 2015 draft. He joined Orix as a development player in 2024, and was registered as a regular player before the start of the season, appearing in 32 games. However, he only appeared in five games this season.
Honda graduated from Tohoku Gakuin High School and Tohoku Gakuin University and joined Seibu as the sixth pick in the 2015 draft. In 2024, he made 31 relief appearances and recorded 10 hold, and was transferred to Orix in the off-season active player draft, but only made 9 appearances this season.
