【京都伏見日帰り旅】酒蔵のある町でランチに利き酒|大人の観光スポットで1日楽しむ
This trip is to Fushimi in Kyoto. Fushimi is famous for Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. But this time we’re going to a hidden gem. Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City Kizakura Kappa Country Fushimi is one of Japan’s leading sake-producing areas. The first place we visited was Kizakura Kappa Country, a famous Japanese sake maker. Let’s have lunch first The building is an old storehouse that has been used as is. The specialty of this shop is that you can drink freshly brewed local beer and a wide variety of sake. There are also Kyoto-style side dishes such as “Hamo” and “Manganji chili peppers” “Ryuma Gozen” “Local beer curry udon” I’m very hungry ^^ 「Itadakimasu」 All the dishes are very delicious. I thought it might be a little small, but I was full. Kappa Kokeshi dolls are cute I came to the shop next door This is a wooden cup (kimasu) for drinking sake. It’s nice to have a souvenir that allows you to compare different drinks. After-dinner dessert is served on the terrace. Purchased items ♪ I’ll enjoy the sake when I get home For snacks, we had “Dorayaki” Kappa Painting This is amazake (non-alcoholic). It tastes like sweet sake. Kizakura Memorial Hall (free) Photography was prohibited inside. Inside you can see pictures of kappa and old TV commercials. Thank you, Kizakura Kappa Country! Fushimi is a place that appears in Japanese history. Teradaya is where the famous Japanese samurai, Ryoma Sakamoto, often stayed. He was attacked here but managed to escape (Teradaya Incident) It’s near Kizakura Kappa Country. The next place we visited was the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum. The round balls are called “sugidama” and are meant to represent the wish for good sake. Gekkeikan is also a very famous sake manufacturer. Only photography was allowed inside. There are various exhibits on sake brewing. At the end, you can sample some sake. You can choose 3 out of 9 types You can take this “ochoko” (cup) home with you. Those who can’t drink alcohol will receive a gift instead of a tasting (the drink on the left) Take a commemorative photo A commemorative stamp was also attached. This is the well water used in sake brewing. Thank you, Gekkeikan! Fushimi Jikkokubune In spring, the Jikkokubune boat passes through a tunnel of cherry blossoms. The view of fresh greenery is also wonderful. This is where I was changing direction Nogi Shrine This shrine enshrines Japanese soldier Nogi Maresuke and his wife. It is known for its benefits of winning and finding a partner. There were sake barrels of Kizakura and Gekkeikan. I’ll wash my hands here This is the treasure museum (¥100) “It will upset my stomach, please don’t feed me.” 「Goshuin stamp」 Thank you Nogi Shrine! Next we came to Fushimi Momoyama Castle. There used to be an amusement park, but now it’s a park. The castle that Toyotomi Hideyoshi built collapsed. The reconstructed castle is now inaccessible What a shame (>_<) Remnants of an amusement park toll booth A magnificent castle tower But it looks like a ruin, which is a shame. Grass is allowed to grow freely. "Watch out for snakes"!!! You can't enter the castle, so you can enjoy the view from outside. It looked very lonely Thank you Fushimi Momoyama Castle! Gokounomiya Shrine The gate of Fushimi Castle was relocated here. Gokounomiya Shrine is the shrine for safe childbirth. There were also sake barrels with the Gekkeikan and Kizakura designs here. This is pure water that is said to cure illnesses. The water was smooth and very tasty. Jizo statue hiding in a tree ^^ Thank you Gokounomiya Shrine! I bought the most delicious sake from Gekkeikan at a tasting. It tastes so good I want to buy it again!
