JAPAN VLOG – Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka | Shibuya Crossing | Mt. Fuji | Nicole in Asia Ep. 2
[Music] star. [Music] Hey guys, welcome back to the vlog. So, as you probably seen in the title, I’m in Japan. I’m in a saka right now. Asan Nunisaka from Hong Kong. So, I’m going to trying to figure out how to take the train back to an Airbnb that I’m staying with my friends, but they’re going to expo today and they’re on a different flight, so they’re just going straight there, but I’m going to the train to go to the Airbnb. So, yeah, I’m super excited to be here and yeah, excited for you guys to come along with me to Japan. Japan’s been on my bucket list for a crazy amount of time, so I’m really excited. Okay, guys. I’ve literally just been like dillydallying for like an hour and trying to procrastinate going out to eat by myself. I don’t know why. Like I’m fine with being by myself. There was a while I was. But something about being on a solo trip and doing every single thing by myself like kind of scares me a little bit, but I’m going to do it. But yeah, and I’m leaving now. It’s like around 8:00 and I’m going to go to this place I found on Tik Tok. And this is a Wagyu beef place, but I have not made any reservation. So, I’m just going to walk in and if it’s this full, we’ll go somewhere else or something. [Music] Okay, guys. Um, Osaka is really trying to test me. Tell me why. Obviously, I left my house, goes to this restaurant, you know, super pumped, whatever. Imagine I get to the restaurant, it’s closed. I think it just closed for the day. Even though on Google it said it closed at midnight, obviously they haven’t updated their Google. I was just like, “This feels like my last straw.” Like genuinely feels like my last straw. And I just kept walking and I was like, “Okay, let me just go to where all the stuff is.” By the way, everyone has been going in this has been really quiet and like not busy at all, apart from this street that I ended up on um that I’m getting food at. I don’t know if this food is going to be good or bad or whatever. Like I’ve seen I just checked Google reviews. Google reviews were pretty good. That’s pretty much it. Like I don’t know if it’s actually good or if it’s a tourist shop cuz I think this is like a touristy area. I’m literally one of the only people in this restaurant. So yeah, I’m at this like wagu space with a little grill. I ordered a couple pieces and I’m really excited honestly to eat wagu. I bought a little ginger ale as well. I don’t know why I make cheese and never drink ginger ale just cuz I never tried it and I never knew what it tasted like until I tried it and I realized it’s like a more fun spicy Sprite which I like. Okay, here are the two beefs I got. I don’t really remember what they’re called, but they’re two different types. I know. Apparently the marbling is like really important when you’re having steak and stuff. [Music] I get money. I’m a star. Star. Look how that I’m so excited, guys. Just got back that wagon place. Chef’s kiss. Like I there was one like I can’t I don’t know what it was called. I was just ordering like I was just hungry so I was just like order whatever. But the thin one not the the premium one that was more expensive. like it was good, but the other one was just like melt in your mouth. Like good, right? And I usually don’t really like restaurants that you have to like make your own food, but I was here for it for the Wagu cuz obviously it takes like 2 seconds and you can cook it to how you like. Like it was so good. Good morning, you guys. This is officially our my first full day in Osaka, but not really full day in Osaka cuz I’m going to spend half of it in Kyoto. I’m pretty much ready. I’m about to leave cuz I’m about to go vintage shopping, which I’m so excited for. And I’m hoping and praying I find this one bag that I’m looking for. I never really do my hair like this ever, but I thought like, I don’t know, we’re in Japan. Let me do something cute and fun and different. Also, my friends have gone to Universal today. I didn’t go to Universal because I literally went in Singapore and it was good, but I think that the best like Universals and stuff are in the USA and I’ve been to those ones and yeah, they’re kind of better than the ones that I’ve seen in Asia. Hi, morning. Selection this stuff. Okay, you guys. I went into one store that was just on the way. I saw a duffel bag that like I’ve been saying I need a duffel and I swear and the price is like pretty good. So, I’m like thinking about it. I think if I go and see more and they don’t have better prices, I might get it if I and also if I don’t see the other bag that I want. [Music] Nice to meet you. I’m so happy. I get money. I’m a star star star. I get money. I’m a star. You guys, my vintage shopping day. I don’t know if it’s going too well. I’m going into all the shops and they have like pretty good selections, but I can’t find the exact bag that I want. like um but now I’m like low key wanting to get a duffel bag cuz I’ve been wanting a duffel and it’s like I could make it work and buy it. But yeah, I’m just like everything. But yeah, I’m going to have a look around the shop as well cuz there are like so many. The store I just went into, it’s called Duya. It’s really good. They have a lot. They kind of had the bag that I wanted, but they had it in the size too big. So, I’m going to keep going and go to the next place I want to go to. I feel like I’m getting closer to what I want. And I’m also now doubting cuz I saw the duffel, but I don’t know if it’s the price of the duffel that makes me want it or if I actually want the duffel cuz I want a duffel, but I’m just not convinced about the Louis Vuitton one. Like, I don’t know. Let me go into Second Street. This is another Tik Tok fret. And see what they have. The bags, the bags. Look at these. This is more expensive. But this is what I wanted. But I don’t know about the red, but I also don’t have a red bag, so like it could just be a blessing in disguise. But it is quite small if you compare it to. But I don’t know if I can fit. I don’t know what size this is. I think I’m going to get the duffel. And I know I said I don’t want all the logos, but something about this particular one I really like. This is how much it is. It’s from 1993. This bag existed before I was born. The city bag in the store. [Music] with that city bag, I actually would have gotten it. I felt like the condition was not great and it’s a light color so obviously it’s harder for it to like stay in super good condition cuz obviously cuz it’s like rubbing against your your top and stuff like that. And plus it was still slightly more than what I wanted to pay. So I was like I don’t think it’s worth me paying more than I want. Plus, it’s now not in as good a condition as I would have hoped, you know. But yeah, I’m going to I don’t know if I still have it in me. I need to go eat cuz I need to get going to Kyoto. Okay, I’m going to go to this ramen place. My vibe this whole trip has just been to walk into places and not like book or know anything about them in France. So, I think that’s what I’m going to do now. This is how you order. You like get it here and pay and then you get your seats. So crazy. [Music] made it to Kyoto, but going to be late to this tea ceremony. Starts in 5 minutes and I’m a 5-minute walk away. So hopefully I get there. The only thing is that I’m scared if I like don’t find my way properly. But yeah. Oh, my skin is looking so good. this camera today. I’m in the ceremony place. I’m about to change into my kimono. I’m going to document it. If the ending, would you cry or would you try to get me [Music] guys? I just had the Japanese tea ceremony and I had such an amazing time. Honestly, it was so calming and like relaxing and I don’t know. I feel like I What is going on over here? [Music] [Music] Okay, before that random interlude, um I was just saying how much I actually love the tea ceremony and how I’m like lowkey getting into matcha now because whenever I go to this Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong, I always drink that like the green tea, which is like matcha. And I drank this one, but it’s like way stronger than the one there, but like it’s bitter. But I think I’m growing to like appreciate it. So, I think I’m going to try and get some like regular matcha, like matcha latte now, and see if I like it better than the last time I had a matcha latte. And then I think I might go to a vintage store in Kyoto cuz apparently the ones here are also good. But yeah, the whole experience was really good. Also, I was getting so many comps in that kimono. It was crazy. the amount of people that were like, not like the people that worked there, like other people in the ceremony that were like, “Wow, your skin is amazing. You look so pretty. You look like a model.” I was like, “Wo, like, thanks guys. Thanks for boosting my ego.” Okay, I got this brown sugar matcha and I’m kind of excited to try it. This is whipped cream. Like, there’s a lot. There’s like a lot going on here. [Music] It’s definitely less offensive than the last time I drank it. Like I can actually drink this. I’m fully becoming a matcha jelly. Actually surprised that means that blank street matcha is just not good. Cuz this one is actually not terrible at all. Like it’s actually good. Whereas what I tried from Blank Street, I hated it so much. Freaking film you. But that’s not only mine. Going to Universal and coming back with shopping is crazy. Nothing. No. You look like mine is nothing. You look like now. Open it. You look like you went to the mall. You can open it now. Yeah, I think so. We can open it. Okay. Let me do a little mini haul of what I got. Obviously, I got the duffel. And I got this little charm today. This is going to go on my bag that I use every day. And I also got it with this charm. So, these are going to kind of like go together. Then this I got this for hair clips. I’ve been wanting some silver cute hair clips and like these were just like it honestly. And I got a face mask. I literally got this so early on in the day cuz I was just like feel like I just need something hydrating like in general, you know? And apparently on find it amazing. Then I got these furry this furry claw clip which I’m super excited about cuz it’s so fun and I love a claw clip in general. I also got a furry regular clip which I also love cuz like I just love the clips and hair accessories honestly. And then I got a skirt from the vintage store. Like I can’t really be bothered to show you how it looks but it’s like this. But yeah, that’s my day in Osaka slash to Kyoto. I’m tomorrow I’m going to Tokyo, which I’m so excited for because I’m taking the bullet train and like I’ve wanted to take the bullet train for years. But my train is currently for 11:00, but I’m considering moving it a couple hours. Um, so that I can like shop in a sucker for a bit longer. But yeah, I think I’m going to decide that tonight and then yeah, good night you guys and see you tomorrow. Good morning, guys. Another day in Japan. So, today I’m on my way to the station to Shinosaka to go to Tokyo. I’m about to ride the bullet train and I’m so so so so so excited. I feel like this whole entire vlog I’ve been talking about how excited I am to ride the bullet train and it’s already here. Like, I’m so excited. It’s like a two I want to say like 2 and 1/2 hour train ride. So yeah, I’m just super excited for that and I’m excited for you guys to come with me to Tokyo. And yeah, I gave up on figuring out my bag in Osaka cuz I realized like I genuinely when I looked up any more vintage stores, I’d basically gone to every single one in Osaka minus like two, right? So I was like, “Okay, the chances of me actually finding this bag at one of those two of the stores was slim to none considering what like I found in their general selection already.” So, I’m just going to try in Tokyo and hopefully I leave Tokyo with a yellow city bag cuz yeah, I get money. I’m a star star star. I get money. I’m a star star. [Music] You guys, I made it to Tokyo. The boat train just like was so good and it went by so quickly. The only thing that I’m sad about is the fact that I didn’t see Mount Fuji. And I’m pretty sure it’s because of the visibility, but I was also like I don’t know if I missed it cuz I was watching something. I mean, I missed it, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t cuz I did always like kept looking out and like checking. But yeah, I’m pretty sure the clouds were covering Mount Fuji. And apparently you can see it for 10 minutes. And I’m 99.999% sure that I looked outside a couple times within that 10 minutes. Okay, I just got to our room and it is so spacious. I’m surprised. Okay, this is nice. I’m surprised about how much space there is. Like even though we chose this room because of the size, it is definitely bigger than I expected, which I’m really happy about. Let me see what the bathroom is giving cuz I actually have not seen a single picture of the bathroom online. And that is usually my like Oh, okay. Thank god it’s nice. This is what the bathroom is giving. Um, but yeah, they’ve got their Japanese toilet, of course. And a beautiful shower. It’s now nearly 4:00, and I’m going to go to the vintage store. It’s in Harajuku, which I know is like a really cool district in Tokyo, and it’s like known for a lot of cool fashion and stuff like that. So, I’m going to go to the vintage store and then look around if I don’t find what I need there. But yeah, that’s like my day now. The mayor I just had just now to get into this train was crazy cuz in Osaka every station took Apple Pay so you didn’t get have to get the like IC card figure but here they did not take Apple to buy a ticket and like I was just so confused and yeah anyways where I’m coming to I found two city bags but I’m don’t know between these two colors. They’re both the same price, same condition. This one’s like a cream light and this one is like a blue. Okay. The two city bags, one of them is slightly newer and is in like a grayish dark color. One of them is old, slightly older, like the older model and is in like a beigy pink, but I think I wanted to go with the beige pink. I was literally going to check out and then he was showing me like the scuffs on it and like obviously cuz it’s light the color transfer is crazy. So now I’m just like I don’t know. Well basically now I’m walking to the other cuz Kasanova has two stores on this road and they have a cream one there but that cream one is slightly more expensive. So I’m going to go check that one out and see what it’s giving. Okay, here is the other Kasanova. I think I like the color though. Now I’m waiting in line at the matcha Tokyo to get some matcha. Like I’m becoming a matcha girly now, which is so crazy cuz I was the biggest matcha hater. The one I had yesterday in Kyoto was amazing. And apparently this matcha is really good. I mean I’m waiting in a queue for it and the queue is like so long. So I mean hopefully it’s going to be good. I’m back here and still undecided. I asked my friend just at the pink and I feel like I’m staring towards the pink cuz I think side by side it looks like it’s in better condition than this one. I think I decided on the pink over the cream [Music] to this Japanese restaurant because they’re smelling really good outside and I was about to go to this other restaurant, but I think I might go there. Why not? my other friend Chloe gets here because I think it’s more of a like eat together vibe whereas this one is I feel like I can eat by myself and be fine. But yeah, it’s like yaki tori which is like those skewers which I really wanted to eat in salt. So yeah, this is the appetizer they brought. It’s some tofu something. But yeah, and this is my drink. It’s like a jasmine tea based cocktail, I think. Not sure if I [Music] Good morning, guys. Another day in Tokyo. So, today, oh, I didn’t even update last night. The restaurant I went to, Chef’s Kiss, it was so good. I can’t remember the name, but I will like put it in the description or something. We’re going to Mount Fuji today, and I’m super excited. We’re going to the station to then go in a car to Mount Fuji. I hope we’re going to be able to see it cuz you know sometimes you can’t see it cuz of the clouds apparently cuz I didn’t see it yesterday in the train. No, but if we go like too close to it, you can see it. Okay. There is Mount Fuji blocked by all the clouds. Not seeing much slowly. You can kind of see it now. The clouds are clearing a little bit. Different different sitting alone by us doing different came to this outlet that’s like close by to Mount Fuji and I’ve just caused some damage that I wasn’t really supposed to. So yeah, if I go to the shop, I’m not going to leave without nothing. Like that is fundamentally a problem in life. I mean, you’re like the same. No key. What a little bit. Yeah. I nearly got out until I saw Jivoni and I was like, “Oh my god, the marshmallows.” And then they had like so many and they had my size, so I had to get out. So guys, we’re in Shibuya. Oh no, Shinjuku. Shinjuku. How’s station? Um, I haven’t actually vlogged like a single thing, but I got back and then I met with Chloe and we’re just walking around. I really want cuz the wagu I had in Osaka was like crazy. I found one on Reddit. This was just some random wreck on Reddit, so I don’t know if it’s actually good. Oh, it’s a minute walk. Let’s go look at the sushimi on the menu. for here I am again resting lucky you guys don’t understand how excited I am for this my glasses for that seems like a very important job here [Music] you look like you’re doing some serious work right now guys we’ve just been eating steak and just to add context it’s currently Sunday or we’ve gone in for Monday at 12:45 and This restaurant is like not full, but there’s a good amount of people at this restaurant on a Sunday and as in work is this morning, Monday. We ordered another one. It looks It looks really good. I think this is the rip rip one. Marble. Honestly, discovered that she doesn’t like marble, too. I don’t know if I don’t like marble, but I think the ones I’ve tried that I have liked the most didn’t have a marble. But we’ll see this one cuz this is a different color. This is red. This is really good. This is so good. You guys, I just saw the biggest, most disgusting rat I’ve ever seen in my life in the streets of Tokyo. Like, I thought you guys said this was some metropolis that things like that don’t happen here. Why am I seeing a rat in the road? Like, that’s crazy. Like, I’m literally looking like I literally ran cuz I was like, she actually did. And this place, considering it’s literally a Monday morning, there’s so many people out. It’s absolutely insane and like there are so many drunk people. But yeah, we’re about to go to Shibuya Crossing which is super exciting. This is like the quietest intersection I’ve ever seen in my life. Nice. No, to be fair, we are here at 1:00 a.m. However, so what? It’s supposed to be a city that never sleeps. I thought it would still be active at this time. Anyways, we made it to the Shiva crossing somewhere where we can take cute pictures with like some cute lights. At least we’re making the best out of this. Oh, wait. We’re We’re missing the crossing at this. Oh, no. Yeah, we did miss the crossing. We actually did miss it. Oh, whoops. So, right now I’m actually really really rushing out because I woke up at like 1:00 p.m. The blackout curtains in this hotel are actually insane. So, it’s nearly 3:00 now and I actually took forever to get ready, but I’m about to leave. I’m going to go to Harajuku again. I’m going to go to this place called Takashita Street, which apparently has really cute charms and stuff like that. I’m going to go to Cosme, which is apparently is like one of the biggest skincare stores like in Japan, which I’m so excited about. And then I’m going to go from there. I think I want to get ramen today and I think I want to go back to the Shiba crossing after last night and the Shiba crossing being empty. So, I’m going to go there like in the evening instead. But yeah, let me show you my outfit. I’m going to give you guys a haul of like the stuff I bought yesterday, I think, when I get back tonight cuz I’m just rushing right now cuz Chloe is already out. She’s already out in Harajuku and I want to go meet her. Okay, so I’m wearing this top, this Mistress Rocks. I got this thrifting in Japan. I bought this in um Kyoto and then my Malas, my Mala tabies. And then I think I’m literally just going to carry the bag that I always carry this one because I was going to carry my mini like ta which like goes with this outfit 100%. But I need to carry my passport with me everywhere to get the tax free and my passport can’t fit in that bag cuz the shape of it. So, I’m gonna go to Harajuku and I’ll see you guys there. We have changed targets, guys. She’s blocking the vision. just like this is so silly. Hey guys, good morning. So, it’s my literally my last day in Tokyo, which is crazy. Well, today I’m not really doing too much. It’s already 1:00 p.m. I’ve literally been awake for a couple hours. literally just chilling because I’m just like tired and I want to just at least feel rested after being here because I’ve been doing stuff every single day. But I wanted to give you guys a full full haul of everything I bought these past couple of days because I feel like I haven’t really shown exactly what I’ve been purchasing. So, I went to Cosme Tokyo, which apparently is like the big skincare brand here. And the first thing I got, sorry I had to grab it from there cuz I’ve already used it are these Myella cleansing sheets. Um, this is like I literally used this last night and it’s like wipes but they have like myella water on it. So like when you’re taking out your makeup I used one wipe and it took off my whole entire face and I was like wo. Then I got these body sheets wipes as well. These are more like refreshing body wipes. Like if you’re sweating a lot in a day, I’m going to need these a lot in Hong Kong because sometimes it’s so sweaty and you go out for 5 minutes and you’re sweating and you literally cannot shower because you have to go somewhere else after. So like these I think is just going to be on me all the time. Similarly, I also got these ones as well. These are the similar wipes. These are the body cleanse ones. So I just wanted to try both of them because they weren’t too expensive. So I was like, let me just try both cuz I couldn’t really decide between the two of them. And then lastly, I got this like eye cream, under eye cream. I have pretty dry under eyes because I have eczema like around my eyes. That’s like one of my main points of my eczema. And I’m like, let me try this because even though when my eczema is gone, my eyes are fine. I still have those like folds and fine lines. So, I wanted to try this. It was like one of the highest rated in the store. So, yeah. Okay. Yesterday, I also bought a bunch of charms. So, well, first I got this hair clip. It’s like brown and I don’t know, it’s just a really cute shade. And I kind of went on a charm craze. So, I bought this one for my bags, like the ones I’ve bought that are new. I kind of like blacked out and just bought everything in the store. Got this. These are all from WeGo. I don’t know. I really like the charms in that store. They can put these on their bag. My bag. I have this one in pink currently on my um my bag that I bought literally the first day I was here. So, I saw the yellow one. I was like, “Oh, let me complete it. Let me have two that are similar, right, with the graduation cap.” But these are just so cute. This uh purple one. So, yeah. I don’t know which bags he’s going for. I don’t even know if I have enough bags to put all of these on. But, yeah. So, and then I went to Gap. The day I went to Mount Fuji, I went to Gap because I’ve just been really needing some jeans. And you know, the cat’s eye video really inspired me. First, I got these ‘ 90s loose low-rise jeans. They’re just plain straight jeans. I feel like I just don’t have really good straight jeans, you know, horseshoe jeans. Honestly, these are not really my style, like the roundness, but one of my friends really likes these type of jeans, and I was just really inspired by her, and I was like, let me be like, “Oh, no, Kami and buy something that she would buy.” And then lastly, I just got this dress because I just felt like I just needed like a, you know, when you just need like a plain summer vibes dress checked print. Why does it look like there’s a stain on this? Looks like there’s like an oil stain. Hopefully that comes out cuz I did not see that before. This store is from Lefill. I never actually heard of it before, but it’s like a Japanese brand. And I saw this cardigan like in the window and that’s what made me walk in the store. And then I was like, can you get it off the mannequin? Like I kind of want this cardigan. And I tried it on and it looked amazing. But it’s just a red cardigan which is just so cute on and like there was so much money off and like it was a really good price and I can just feel the quality is like amazing cuz it’s like really thick. on to like one of my favorite purchases this trip that I got in Mount Fuji completely unexpectedly. I literally got this like 30 minutes before the store closed cuz I was in like I think Balenciaga and I saw their shoes and I was like gh I kind of did want like a platform wedge type of shoe and I was like wait I didn’t go into Jivon she like I didn’t go and I feel like they may have it and funnily enough they had multiple colors of this shoe the my top pick was the like slightly pink ones but they didn’t have my size so this was my second. And these are the shoe, the Gimoni marshmallow slides. These are in like a cream color. They’re like cream pattern. Two. You guys have probably seen this already. My Balenciaga city bag. I’ve added a charm to it now. And with all the new ones I’ve bought, I’m going to And I got this charm as well when I was in Mount Fuji, like the Hello Kitty one. And then this Louis Vuitton duffel vintage bag. It looks terrible right now. But yeah, it’s a big duffel. And this is definitely going to be for my like weekend trips and stuff like that cuz I just really needed a duffel cuz you know when you go on a weekend trip, a hand luggage isn’t enough. But then big suitcase too much. You kind of need a big bag and a hand luggage. And this is like the perfect thing. Um, my credit card is hurting. And yeah, I think today I’m just going to go to Shabuya and see one of my friends from my internship that um is from Tokyo and he’s going to like show me some of the spots and stuff. Getting sushi. So, I literally spent the afternoon with Shensei doing stuff in Tokyo. We went to We went to the sushi place. I think it’s called Midori Sushi. It was really good. And then we went to We were meant to go to the um Maji Shrine. I think it’s called Magi Jinsu. I don’t know. But we literally got there 20 minutes late because we went to get go to this matcha place that has a really matcha good matcha cookie. The matcha Tokyo. We also got the matcha lemonade. But the matcha lemonade just tastes like lemonade. Like you can taste no matcha. And so then we were late because it was a cute matcha the matcha Tokyo which was my fault cuz I was like, “Yeah, let’s stop.” But yeah. And then we went to like the little arcade place and I’m obsessed with the drumming game. Like I’m really obsessed with it. And then honestly I just came home. Not home, came back to the hotel. My flight is early tomorrow at like 9:30. I have to leave here like before 5 because the train is at like 6:00 and I have to take a train because the freaking taxis are like so expensive and I’m just so dumb because I booked my flight from the airport that’s like really far away when I could have just booked it to the airport that’s like 20 minutes away from here, which was just really dumb of me. So, if you’re coming to Tokyo, make sure to check how far the airport is from your hotel. Hanida airport, I don’t know if that’s how you pronounce it. will 99.9% be closer and will be much worth it. I always go from Hanita airport I think is my number one tip. This is the end of my Tokyo/Japan vlog. Actually my Osaka Kyoto for a little bit and mainly Tokyo vlog. I hope you guys enjoyed.
