On October 13, 2025, Prime Minister Ishiba attended the closing ceremony of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, held in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, in the gracious presence of Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino.

The Prime Minister exchanged views with the Thematic Project Producers of the Expo, then observed the Mahoroba, a hydrogen fuel-cell vessel, followed by an observation of a flying car test flight. Next, he presented a letter of appreciation to Myaku-Myaku and attended a luncheon hosted by the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition. Afterwards, he attended the closing ceremony and, in his capacity as Honorary Chairperson of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, delivered an address. Following the ceremony, he met with Mr. Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General, Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), and spoke to the press regarding Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
