Passion Udon Sanshu, Time Out Market, Osaka, Japan #osakajapan #osaka #osakafood

I’m here at the Timeout Market in Osaka, a new space that just opened up in April. There are the best restaurants from around Osaka and a food fair and a really, really cool space. As you can see, there’s also a stage there for live performances. Today, I’m going to try Udong from Passion Sunsh. Let’s try it out. All right. I opted for the meat and kitsune udon. So, it has the the beef there, the shredded beef in the back, and it has the the fried tofu down here. And it’s got a lemon, the bonito flakes, some onion, and the big fat noodles in there, too. You can see them right there. And I also got an extra piece of Anugago. Anugo is like conger eel. This was pretty expensive. It’s a big big one. Six bucks. Uh 600 yen for that one, which is bit expensive, but they give you quite a bit of quite a bit of volume there. So, I’m going to try it out. I’m going to mix it up. Squeeze this lemon here. I’m going to try it out. Uh, by the way, this place is called Passion Udon Sanshu. Is that right? Yeah. Passion Udon Sanshu. And I’m going to try this out. Pretty fat noodles. Big fat noodles. And try them out. Usually the difference with an udon place is the texture of the noodles. So, let’s try this one. That’s what gives them their signature. That’s very good. Not too chewy, not too soft. Uh, it’s in between. Yeah, it’s very good. And, uh, let me try some of this meat. It’s kind of like meat from a gudon bowl you see in Yoshinoya, which is good. And then the uh, the fried tofu. Oh, it’s good. That’s really good. Yeah, very nice. I didn’t mix it up enough, so I’m sure if I mix it around, uh, the flavors will blend a little bit more. So, anyways, very good. Timeout Market, Osaka. Cool new place here. Um, it’s a little bit expensive, but it’s a really cool atmosphere. And if you come on weekdays, uh, there’s nobody here. It’s very, very quiet. As you can see, I got to flip the camera around. Yeah, pretty quiet on a weekday uh around 6:00 p.m. So, good time to visit them. Anyways, thanks for watching.
