Was served this at a Japanese restaurant in Thailand. The raw egg that I typically get is bright yellow or orange. It doesnt have any foul smell and tastes just like eggs albeit missing the rich creaminess from the good japanese egg at a more authentic restaurant.

It’s a soy cured yolk, google it for pictures that look identical to this!
