Alexandra Eala is competing at the 2025 Japan Open in Osaka (13-19 October).

The Filipina tennis starlet heads to Japan for the WTA 250 tournament, which also features home hope Naomi Osaka and 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu.

World no. 54 Eala did not make it through qualifying of the WTA 1000 tournament in Wuhan, and is aiming for her first win in three outings when she takes on 18-year-old Czech player Tereza Valentová in the opening round on Tuesday (14 October).

Should she prevail, the 20-year-old from Quezon City could meet third seed Cristina Bucsa from Spain in the round of 16. The Japan Open consists of 32 players, running through to the final on Sunday (19 October).

Here is how to watch Eala at the WTA 250 event.
