Travel to Japan Tips🔥 Tokyo Shinjuku Walking Tour

Not to get ripped off in Japan. Here are some legit ways to shop in Japan. Everyone tells you to go to Donkey K for souvenirs, but actually item prices in the store are hiked up to target tourists. Most of the items mass- prodduced, not completely unique. If you want to have authentic makeup and skincare, go to drugstores for stationery, smaller local stores or art supplies stores. If you are going to Japan for anime, going to Akihabara is the first location where you can decide to go. However, instead of going to Akihabara for shopping, you can go to secondhand store such as Book Off. You may be able to find cheaper items. Regarding eating in Japan, dual pricing has officially started. So, do not order from English menu when you eat in a restaurant. You may feel okay to have menu in home language. You can also go to grocery stores or department store food sections to check their bentos box. They will go on major sales few hours before closing. You can expect items 50% off at the end of the day before the store closing.

  1. The cashiers at the Donqui in Shibuya are rude and scammy as hell. I hated my experience there. They were not Japanese, I won’t speculate where they were from so as to not offend anyone, but it was a terrible experience and it made me just want to avoid any other stores that are set up that way. They were so rude. I can’t get over that. Just wow. I wish I had just kept that $400 and spent it elsewhere but I didn’t have much time left and wanted to grab some gifts. It wasn’t worth it. I’ll avoid them in the future and will help amplify anyone else who feels the same until hopefully tourists stop going there lol. That’s how disgusting my experience was there. I can’t stand that place.

  2. Fuk donki lol love the store but everything super overpriced my last day was wild as I was looking for a suitcase donki’s price ¥27000 same suitcase in harajuku street ¥7000 lol

  3. Ty so much for helping people out with the better cheaper options it's so nice to see someone who would just like the people to enjoy their time and not have to spend a arm and a leg on junk

  4. I thought Japan is not corrupt. I never thought you'd get ripped off. I guess you still have to be street smart in Japan
