Why is Japan like this? 👀🇯🇵 #japan #travel
One thing that might surprise you about Tokyo is how late things start in the city. Like for example, Shinjuku, a faint nightlife area that goes hard until the early morning hours. If you visit in the morning, the city looks like after a zombie apocalypse with nothing to do, almost nothing. If you happen to be there on a Sunday, head over for the red light district of Kabukicho to Hanazono Shrine for a small flea market featuring unique Japanese antiques. It takes place pretty much every week except if there’s a festival or if there’s really bad weather and features a couple dozen stalls selling everything from cups to memorabilia and even samurai swords. Browsing through here, you can find a unique souvenir to bring back home while enjoying the early morning hours in Tokyo without crowds. A win-win.
