Shot entirely with a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition…

Title: GoPro Good For Travel? GoPro Only Japan Trip!

Japan is definitely one of the most amazing destinations for any traveller. The juxtaposition of an ancient culture with a society so entranced with technology quite literally results in a new experience around every corner.

If you’re planning a ski trip to Japan, I would strongly recommend that you squeeze in a few days in one of the major cities like Tokyo or Osaka before heading to the ski resorts.

Niseko boasts consistently superb snow conditions and provides skiers and snowboards with a cultural adventure along with a world class ski experience.

On this trip I decided to put the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition to the test as a general travel camera. While I use the GoPro regularly as an action camera, I’m always asked what I think of it as an all around vacation handy cam device. Having spent a few weeks on this trip to Japan with it in my pocket, I’m actually really amazed at how convenient it was to just pull out and get footage that I probably would not have bothered to get with my traditional DSLR camera. Just make sure you pack and extra GoPro battery for the longer days on the road.
