However, Casemiro issued a warning about putting too much pressure on Estevao after the win against South Korea.
Estevao is currently with the Brazil squad, but according to Globo he’s tested positive for flu and will be assessed in the Brazil camp before Monday’s training session.
The report adds the medical staff expect Estevao to be available for the Japan game, but if not West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta will be the replacement.

Whilst Estevao is a doubt with flu, Enzo Fernandez has returned from international duty with Argentina due to swelling in his knee.
Fernandez played in the friendly against Venezuela, and reportedly wasn’t going to take part in Argentina’s next game against Puerto Rico.

The World Cup winner has reportedly been playing through the pain barrier this season, and returning early will allow him to be assessed by Chelsea, and have a few days rest before the Nottingham Forest game next Saturday.
Fernandez has pretty much played non stop since 2022, but with Romeo Lavia just coming back from injury, and Andrey Santos and Dario Essugo injured, there is a pressure on him to stay fit and play.
