This Is the ONLY TeamLab You’ll Want to Visit — Kyoto’s New Biovortex!

[Music] Hello. Oh, hi. Welcome back to our channel. Welcome. If you’re new here, I’m Sarah and I’m Vasco. and we quit our jobs and came all the way to Japan to discover all it has to offer. And today we have something very special for you guys cuz we are in Kyoto and the Team Labs Bio Vortex just opened and we’re going to show you what it’s all about. And if you’re wondering if you should go to the ones in Tokyo, the one in Osaka, or this one, we’re going to tell you which one is the best and tell you all the super secret stuff that we see inside and which ones are totally original to this place and the ones that you actually can also see in the other ones. So, let’s go. Let’s go. [Music] It just opened. Um, so I’m really excited. I’m super excited. So, let me see if the app is actually working cuz it wasn’t working. So, so first impressions, it looks like the planets one. It’s similar to the planets one. Yeah. And the thing is this one, but it doesn’t seem like it’s very full of people, but you also have like um cure codes for you to uh queue up for certain areas. [Music] What do you think? I like this one. Yeah, the lanterns one is so cool. This is very different from the other ones. Yeah. [Music] Oh, red. Yay. [Music] This part is very similar to a whole room. I think it’s planets that has one very very similar to this one. Um, it’s like a waterfall theme in the planets one. If I’m doing it wrong, I’m just going to put it somewhere on screen. But yeah, um but the lanterns one was super cool and it changes color as well. So yeah, really nice. Let’s keep going. Oh my god. No. [Music] Okay. So, real quick, the vortex one was amazing. That’s super unique and it was probably my favorite one so far. We’re but we’re still not done. This part I think is quite all of them have this except the Osaka one which is uh in a garden so you can’t really have this. It wouldn’t be practical but team loves planets and borderless also has uh something very very similar. I think the only thing that differs is the colors of the room itself. But yeah. Oh god. Oh god. Completely dark. Help. It’s more orangey and the ones in planets is like, “Oh, no, forget it. It’s exactly the same. It’s Yeah, it’s it’s the same same concept. Same same but defitting. So far, first impressions, this is so far my favorite one. Um, it does have some unique uh artworks, but I think the bad part about all of them, at least the ones that are closed, not those suck on because it’s an open space, is always the fact that I don’t know where to go. You do have that app that tells you which artworks are nearer, but it is very confusing inside because they don’t have a map for you to actually know where you should go next. So, it’s a little bit confusing, but all of them are. I think if you want to explore by yourself without guidance, I think it’s a cool experience that you can like explore for yourself and take your own time, but for some people can be confusing for sure. And also, I’m not sure if it’s because it just opened, but it it does have less people. Yeah. Than the ones in Tokyo, for sure. Both of the ones in Tokyo are very full of people, so it sometimes gets a little bit hard for you to actually explore things. Yeah, here it is very much uh empty in comparison if I compare. So far, this one is my favorite as well. So far, I think it’s a combination between the two. The the Team Labs planets and Borderless. Team Labs Borderless. Yeah, but we have so much more to explore. So, let’s go. Yeah. Continue watching. [Music] Okay, so we just entered the sculptures part of the museum and this is the best part ever. I mean, it’s hard to say cuz they’re also very original, but this part is really worth it, I think. Finally, fine. Jesus, so scared. No, no, no. [Music] I’m too clumsy for these types of things, honestly. [Music] [Music] What is the moss? This is moss. Look, you can’t touch it with mos. Actual moss. Wait. [Music] So pretty. So cool. Oh, wow. [Music] [Music] I didn’t even notice, but we’ve been here for two full hours. We haven’t yet seen every everything. So, but so far the best one yet is for sure. [Music] Okay. So, I thought we didn’t have water here, but we do. But it’s very small building. And the other one with with the boots as well. But yeah. Oh, they have a similar one on the uh labs, right? Or the the planets. This is the same as the planets. This part, but there was a part that reminds me of the one in Osuka. To be honest, I think this is like €25 per ticket. And I think this one is probably a mix of all the ones that we went to. and it’s gigantic. We’ve been here for 2 hours and a half and I really feel that this one is really worth the money. It’s not too full. Um, it is very big. It has a mix of everything. And like so definitely if I were to have to choose between one of them, this would be the one. But yeah, we’re still not done. So let’s see if it’s uh has more surprises. It’s the uh the same the same concept. So you can draw like certain animals and things and they will be projected onto this playground of sorts. Uh but yeah, also if you’re wearing sandals or high heels, you’ll have to rent out shoes. Uh so just keep that in mind. This one doesn’t have the water that Planets has up to your knees, but it does have some watery parts. So maybe just come with shoes that are okay with a little bit of water. And this is exactly the same as planets. So the platforms and I know they also have those little balls where you can jump on as well which is new to planets and they also have it here. Hi Gia. hot. That’s [Music] This is also the same as planets. [Music] And yeah, that’s a wrap. Wrap. Oh, that was actually the best team lands that I’ve been to. I think so. Yeah, I think that if you are wondering whether to go to the two ones in Tokyo, the one in Osaka or the one in Kyoto, this is definitely the one I would recommend. Not only because it has a lot of uh parts that are very very are the same pretty much to borderless end planets, but you also have one part that really resembles a certain area in the garden one in Osaka. And honestly, this is the biggest one that I’ve seen. It has like four floors. Spend like 2 and 1/2 hours, almost 3 hours inside to see everything. Keep that in mind. But it didn’t feel like 3 hours. It felt like super light to go to. It didn’t have a lot of people like the one in planets and in team borderless. We are also going to do a video to compare those two if you’re wondering which one is the best in Tokyo. But honestly, subscribe. So, subscribe. Yes, cuz we’ll show you which one is the best. But honestly, if you have the chance to come to this one, I would definitely recommend. I think the only con of this one is that it doesn’t have a coffee/ food experience that Team Labs Borderless. Borderless has a cafe which is like one of the high points of Borderless and Planets has a cafe as well at the outside part of it but it’s not as ramen as well. Yeah, with ramen as well but not but I prefer the one in Borderless because the experience itself was much better but this one doesn’t have that. But honestly compensates in the exhibitions especially the ones where you can use your hands and interact with everything. It’s super nice. So yeah, definitely subscribe and visit this place because it’s the it’s the best one. So you can use our link, our affiliate link to also buy your tickets.
