Nippon-Ham-Hiromi Ito pitcher Taikai Ito has been selected as a member of the “LUXAS Samurai Japan Series 2025 Japan vs. Korea” team to be held at Tokyo Dome on November 15th and 16th.
Ito won 14 games this season, the most wins for the second consecutive year. He also won his first strike out title with strike out. He also led the league complete game (6) and innings pitched (196 2/3), demonstrating his support for the team throughout the season.
The right-handed pitcher, who contributed to the team’s victory at the 2011 WBC by taking mound in the final, commented, “I am very honored to have been selected for Samurai Japan. I am happy to be able to play on a stage that is special to me, but at the same time, I feel a sense of responsibility. I will be aware of the responsibility of representing the Japanese flag and will prepare thoroughly.”
