Minister of Education and Minister for Nordic Cooperation Anders Adlercreutz will visit Japan on 9–12 October. During his visit, he will take part in events at the Osaka World Expo.
Minister Anders Adlercreutz will visit the Osaka World Expo and attend the Nordic Arctic Day invite-only reception, hosted by the joint Nordic Pavilion on 11 October, to give a speech in his role as President of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The aim of Arctic Day is to strengthen cooperation between the Nordic countries and Japan in strategic areas and to identify practical ways to promote sustainable development in the Arctic region.
During the Expo, the Minister will also explore pavilions from various countries.
In addition to the Expo, Minister Adlercreutz will meet Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Hisashi Matsumoto and former Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa. These meetings will focus on Nordic cooperation and Arctic affairs.
The Minister will also have other meetings in his capacity as both Minister of Education and Minister for Nordic Cooperation. He will visit a school in Tokyo and Aoyama Gakuin University, where he will give a lecture on media education and education for democratic citizenship.
