I Found a Secret Water Temple Hidden in an Osaka Suburb (Day Trip From Osaka)
Some days are just special from the start. Today was one of those days. The journey begins by leaving the noise of Osaka behind. This town, Osakasayama, immediately felt so lovely and calm. You get the first hint of what’s to come…
a promise of quiet minimalism. And then, you see it. The first glimpse of Tadao Ando’s genius. Concrete. It’s one of my favorite materials. There’s a power and a beautiful silence to it that I’ve always loved. This is the Sayamaike Museum. A landscape of water, sky, and perfect, clean lines. It feels more like walking through a giant sculpture than a building. Inside, the experience is just as fantastic. It’s designed so beautifully for walking;
you just naturally flow through the space. Surrounded by the preserved history of a 1,400-year-old dam. And then, I found this place. A really charming study area in the museum’s library. As a novelist, my heart skipped a beat. I wrote my past novels in the quiet corners of public libraries, just like this one. I could easily imagine spending an entire day here, just writing. Finding a perfect writing spot like this feels like coming home. After that, a moment to catch some sun… …and fresh air in the lovely, peaceful tea garden. A final bit of calm before heading back to the station. The journey home is always filled with new feelings. Reflecting on the day as the evening light begins to fade. A truly perfect day. Thank you for wandering with me. Until the next journey.

Hola José. Hermoso vídeo. Yo estuve allí este miércoles. Visitar un edificio de Tadao ANDO fue una de las razones para visitar Osaka, además de asistir a la EXPO 2025.
