Takoyaki (たこ焼き) is a popular Japanese street food consisting of small, round balls made from a savory wheat flour–based batter. Each ball typically contains a piece of octopus (“tako” in Japanese), along with ingredients like green onions, pickled ginger, and tempura scraps (called tenkasu).
