I’m at The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike Autograph Collection Hotel! This hotel joined the Marriott family in 2020! Its stylish cylindrical exterior, designed by architect Togo Murano, is a truly amazing hotel! Located in the northern part of Kyoto City, a bit far from the city center, it’s surrounded by nature , including an international conference center, a park complex, and more. Relaxation is guaranteed ! The hotel, surrounded by nature, boasts a magnificent Japanese garden with a pond. I skipped the garden and headed straight to the hotel! I stepped on the pudding-marked foot mat and headed to the entrance plaza! A long, horizontal pillar with a 🐤-like pattern welcomed me. In front of me was art, a pine tree…? (I’m ignorant.) There are a ton of check-in desks, so you can check in as many times as you like. It’s okay if you have to wait! Lazy chairs are provided♪ And there are plenty of them, so you can really laze around as much as you like… Next to you as you laze around, there’s a butler (concierge) on display, as you’d expect from Kyoto! But this square… is seriously huge… so there are lazy zones everywhere … pillars… 🐤-like patterns… right? ? Looking up, I realize I’m in the Showa era. While I was reminiscing about the Showa era, I was checked in within seconds. I walked down the corridor on the 8th floor, the top floor, to Room 830 , and tapped my green Pudding card key … and voila! I walked down the hallway, which didn’t feel all that old… and there it was… a Club Floor Hollywood Twin room (39.6 m²)! I was upgraded to the Club Floor!! Thank you, Pudding-sama~♪ What kind of view would you get from Hollywood? Forest 🌲 🌲🌲 A relaxing chair with a view of the greenery. The pudding water is HAVARY’S, in an eco-pack! ♪ Please be eco-friendly if you’re staying two nights or more! ♪ And the highlight of this hotel! A tour of the lounge! ♪ Next to it is a nanoe system, so the air is great… and a twin bed makes a statement! ♪ There are two pillows for pillow fights. Where’s the bedside table…? USB is included, is that really the best?! The desk lamp has a dimmable rotating function, and there’s also a bedside table on the other side. Is that an ancient-looking pudding phone ?! Massage?! This is so Japanese… (lol) PriOne, that’s a super convenient service! ♪ There’s no power or USB on this side, but it’s a good balance, isn’t it? PriMemo Memo Set φ(｀д´) Memo Memo… The PriMemo pen has a pudding stamp on it! ♪ Across from the bed is a study desk. What ‘s in the drawer…? Pajamas have appeared! Pudding stamp…? There it is!! Just like pudding!! (Mysterious) Fold it up properly… What’s in the cupboard on this side…? The TV is mounted on the wall and is quite huge… it…can it move?! The screen is made of synthetic leather with a fish scale pattern . Is this thick thing the hotel instruction manual? Next up is everyone’s favorite minibar corner♪ HERE IT IS━━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━━━━!! Proof of victory! Nespree…? ? ? ? KEURIG…? ? Isn’t that the kind you often see in America? There are four live bullets, how generous♪ Next to it is an electric kettle, the same model as the one in my house (lol) and this is…? A tea cabinet! 🍵It ‘s kind of super cute♡ Beneath it is a mysterious sliding-open drawer. If you remove the placemat on top…it’s a treasure chest♪ There are small amounts of premium gasoline and snacks, which of course you have to pay for… The tea is Dilmah and Fukujuen roasted green tea!! It’s so delicious👍The sugar is naturally stamped with the pudding logo♪ And next to it on the right is…? The refrigerator and ice bucket are packed to the brim and have temperature controls! Yay!! Next is the sliding door on the side of the entrance, as expected, with storage. In the front there’s an iron and slippers that we don’t use, and at the back there’s half of an ironing set that we don’t use. There’s quite a lot of Emon hangers♪ Wait, are there ones here too? I can’t use them all…💦 A sign of luxury, the bathrobe is placed in this position, with a no-print mark… What a shame… (´；ω；`) Ugh… There are two chairs (for luggage) and at the back there’s a friend of old men, they’ll crush your pants! Now, as per usual, let’s check out the slippers! They feel like a towel and are quite thick… ★3 Next to the entrance there’s a huge full-length mirror and a place to put small items . The room is here, and it’s really cylindrical… If you don’t wake up, you’ll have to hang it up. Next, let’s take a look at the mysterious space to the right of the entrance! It’s a super open bathroom with no door… The washbasin has a fancy ladle on top , and all the amenities are all in one place . There’s everything, so let’s get it all out! When lined up, it looks like this, there’s pretty much everything (just random). Out of that came HAJIMARI ORGANIC . Yes, it’s started (mystery). And while I was there, I tried the customary wooden toothbrush challenge! Come on, wooden! Huh!? Made of plastic that looks like wood… the cup is glass with a ceramic coaster! Dangerous! It’s also equipped with a huge mirror, it’s huge… and this mirror… it’s so fancy!? The hand towels have a huge pudding mark on them♪ And the drawer on the bottom left of the sink is…? It’s made in Japan, a reliable brand, by Panasonic, and in the front is a dedicated pat-on for women to pat their faces, the pat-on brush is the same as before, and a dedicated container for women’s important things is below it is Omron, so don’t eat too much…? The toilet and bath area are equipped with a washlet for your peace of mind♪ And the usual old-fashioned telephone , the shower is only a handheld type, and the water pressure is reasonably strong💪 Liquid soaps are wall-mounted, and fluffy towels look down from above… Next, let’s take a stroll around the facility♪ First, we start with the fitness center, where Technogym’s latest machines are lined up , including some slightly old-fashioned machines without LCD screens (lol). The stair-climbing machines you often see overseas, but is this really overseas? CNN is on, so I guess I’m overseas after all… There are also lots of unfamiliar machines, as you’d expect from overseas! Before I knew it, I’d trained hard overseas… and I’d look like a muscular pudding! Head to the souvenir shop! It’s located on the extension of the lobby plaza! Inside, there’s a row of typical Kyoto souvenirs, and since it’s the Gion Festival, there’s a special corner with a large selection of other typical Kyoto souvenirs . Chirimen… is it a Kyoto specialty…? (I’m ignorant) Ahino-chan… you say?! So cute! I’ll buy it!! (lol) I was born in March, so there’s a Hina doll🎎 and there’s also a JAPAN! na-te shirt (lol) What? 🍺3.3 million yen…? Cheaper than the vending machines!! There’s also a wide selection of gasoline🍶 Next is the bar “ASCOT” Is this the main bar? It’s not open yet… too early… (tears) They also have a happy hour! Great~♪ The inside is a hyper adult space, as expected from Pudding-sama~♪ Let’s keep going! Next is the courtyard!! Is it shaped like a heart? A stylish courtyard? When you go outside, you first come across a forest! If you go further from there…? A heart-shaped plaza…? You can’t really tell unless you see it from above… Next, we jump out of the entrance plaza and head to the teahouse! This is also a work by Murano Togo! It’s a nice Japanese-style place where guests can enter for free and even take wedding photos! From the outside, it doesn’t really feel Japanese (lol) But from inside you can see the Japanese garden and there’s a wonderful teahouse, the tatami mats have an interesting shape (ignorant) I know this! It’s the place to go in, right? (Ahem) That was a “nijiriguchi” (a passageway), where you bow your head to enter regardless of your status… I see… (ignorant as ever…) And finally we arrived! Main dish! Lounge! It’s quite spacious, with plenty of seats! You can just laze around here as much as you like, right?! It’s not too crowded during nunkatsu time, but it can get packed depending on the time!? From the lounge, you can see the garden we saw earlier, with the water reflecting off it, which is beautiful!✨The corner at the back is lined with food, and during nunkatsu time, there are snacks lined up , with sweet things (cakes), sweet breads, and alcohol, creating a Japanese atmosphere♪ The drinks corner is surprisingly far away (lol). Food and alcohol have appeared in the snack corner from earlier! Server (mackerel), shabu-shabu (warm vegetables) , 🐟 fried fish (fish fry), 🐟 potatoes (potatoes), McDonald’s breakfast (hash browns), Shibuya (scrambled eggs) have the best options, this area is a cold corner, salmon ! (Smoked salmon) 🦐 (marinated shrimp) tropical (fruit) dairy products (🧀) thinly sliced ​​(salami, etc.) Kiri (miso soup) options , Shiromeshi (white rice) 🐄 Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa! 2020年にマリオット系ラグジュアリーブランドのオートグラフコレクション加わったプリンス京都宝ヶ池に宿泊してきました！
京都の北部にあるのでアクセスはいまいちで送迎バスもないですが、それでも周りを自然に囲まれ、しかも建築家村野藤吾氏が手掛けた建物がめっちゃおしゃれで古さも感じない！
しかもこのホテルなんとラウンジがある！
格安で泊まれてラウンジがあるなんとほんと最高のホテルです♪
