So, hit that subscribe button and let’s explore Japan little spark vlog style. Hello everybody. Welcome to travel day. We are here at Bradley International Airport for the first leg of our trip to Japan. Can’t believe this is actually happening, but we are going to Japan. Uh we’re here very early in the morning. Um our flight leaves at 6:15 in the morning and we’re not going to get into Tokyo Haneda until 100 p.m. tomorrow. Tomorrow due to the time change. So, we are flying Delta Airlines even though we’re sitting with a Southwest sign behind us just because uh there’s less people here, but we’re flying Delta um Comfort Plus on both legs of the journey. We’re flying from Bradley International to Minneapolis and then Minneapolis over to Tokyo. So, come join us on our travel day because uh it’s going to be a long one. It’s going to be a long one. Yeah. So, the flight from Hartford to Minneapolis is about three hours. And then we have a nice 2-hour layover before a 12 and a half hour flight from Minneapolis to Tokyo. So, that is the flight itinerary. Oh, Becky’s back from getting us a water. We also did get some McDonald’s for breakfast. So, that hit the spot. And then once we arrive in uh Tokyo, we’re gonna take a bullet train down to Nagoya, which is going to be our hotel for the first week of our trip. So, it’s going to be fun. Let’s go. [Music] We have made it to Minneapolis. Now we are walking through the airport which is under quite a bit of construction right now and uh going to go to our gate for the flight to Tokyo Haneda. The flight from uh Hartford to Minneapolis was very smooth, very good flight. Um wasn’t able to look out the window very much because uh like almost everybody had their windows down cuz it was early in the morning. So yeah, we’re going to putts around this uh airport for a little bit and uh get ready to go on our next flight to identify say Eggy Beggy for you Becky. But here is our gate G4 Tokyo Haneda. And there’s our plane. Never been on a plane this big. I think it’s an Airbus 350-900E. I’ll have to ask the captain for a trading card for that one as well. How was your flight experience, Becky? It was good. Yeah. You weren’t awake for more than I slept for a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, so what do you want to eat? Eggy wiggy. Okay, let’s go. This is hilarious because well, Becky loves eggs and uh a nickname that uh our family has for her is a Beggy. So, it’s kind of funny that there’s a place here called Eggy WGY. [Music] From Eggy WGY, I got the breakfast cheese steak. Comes with tots. Becky got a uh ham, egg, and cheese. Also comes with tots. Rio. These tots look amazing, too. Look how crispy they are. This is just one big tot. Heading onto plane number two. Next stop, Tokyo. Well, hello there. Let’s go to Tokyo. Looks like we got some goodies on the chair. We are traveling comfort plus. Yeah. Yeah. We’re not bougie enough for a premium economy or the Delta 1 lie down seats. Kind of out of our just have the finances. We wish we could but very very expensive. Also, I did ask for another trading card went up to the the pilots. A350. So, with Comfort Plus, we received a little pair of slippers, [Music] a Delta travel kit, which has an eye mask, some earplugs, and a toothbrush and toothpaste, a blanket, and a pillow. Not all Comfort Place experiences come with a Becky, though. opposite of comfort. You do have a nice tablet in front of you with movies series Spotify. You can look at your flight. Definitely will be doing that along the way. Let’s see what they got for movies. Hope Alyssa would be all set. There’s Camp Rock. See what they have for series now. Oh, they have Bluey. Becky, you’re all set. They got the Bluey. Also got some special edition Hundredyear earbuds. Was freaking out cuz I couldn’t find a way toh pair mine in the setting. So, yeah. because this is our route for trip west over in the US over Alaska sometime over the Pacific Ocean and then so I’m about an hour into Black Panther Wakanda forever and meal service has come. Boom. [Music] Becca get the Chipotle chicken. Yeah. Chipotle chicken. It’s got a corn and tomato salad and a roll and a lemon blondie with some butter. And here is the beef option that I got. Snow peas, onions, mushrooms, beef with some rice. I forgot the name of the actual dish. Same corn and tomato salad. status report. Came back with some warm chocolate chip cookies, some more drinks. Currently watching my second movie of the of the trip, Inside Out 2. Watched Black Panther Wakanda Forever earlier. 5 hours and 40 minutes still to go. Probably only nap for like 45 minutes. Yeah. Sorry about So, we’ll see how this goes. Still a very long Got a day ahead. Status report. Hour and a half left. Breakfast is here. A yogurt and a breakfast. Cowzone cranberry. How’s the cowzone? Hot like a hot pocket. We made it to Japan. Oh, 12 and a half hours on the plane and I’m don’t feel completely exhausted right now. So, I guess that’s good. So, now we’re going to go through customs and all that. [Music] So, brief update after getting out of all the congestion that was arriving through customs and all that. So, after we made it through customs, uh, ended up going to an ATM to get some Japanese yen and then to get a welcome suite card that we could then use on the metro trains here in Japan. And you can also use them on like vending machines and like at 7-Elevens and different convenience stores. So, we just used it for the first time to go take the Kikiu line. I think that’s how you pronounce it to uh we’re going to take that train to Shin Shinanagua Station. I apologize if I’m butchering any of these names cuz I am just an American in Japan right now. So, we’re going to go down a set of escalators to go catch a train. See how this goes. Hopefully, we’re going in the right direction. Yeah. [Music] So, we finally made it down to the Shank boating platform. Uh, it was very overwhelming and uh chaotic for somebody navigating this for the first time. So, we did not vlog it because it wouldn’t have helped anybody. Uh we did some circles, tried some machines that didn’t that didn’t work. Ended up going to a ticket gate and found out that we had everything we needed already. Um so yeah, but we are a hour early for our bullet train. So we’re just going to wait here and kind of learn the uh on and off routine and uh take the bullet train to our hotel. Also had our first experience with a Japanese vending machine. I got this peach water. pretty good. What’d you get, Becky? Plain water. Just water. Just water. There’s so many different options that you can get in these vending machines, and they’re very easy to use. We’ll definitely be showing a lot of uh vending machines in our videos cuz they’re everywhere. And here comes our train. Here [Music] we go. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hello. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Well, we finally made it to our room at the hotel we’re staying at for the first five nights here in Japan. It was a very, very long travel day. 24 hours total. Is it 24 hours pretty much? Like when we left, we got up at 2:30 Eastern time. More like by the time we were like in started flying for our first flight. Yeah. So technically over 24 hours, but yeah. So So we’re in our hotel room staying at the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel and we are on the 43rd floor. This is a massive hotel that’s right at Nagoya station. So, after we got off of the uh bullet train, the Shinkansen, um we just booked it right for the hotel because we were starting to nod at the end of the uh the ride and we didn’t want to miss our stop and we’re like, we’re we just have to go right to the hotel. No, no time for exploring and it was kind of busy. It’s a Monday here, so you lose a day when you come from the United States over to Japan. So, we technically left on a Sunday and now it is like Monday night here in Japan. So, we’re going to hit the head. I don’t think I unless you want room service. I don’t know. We’ll see. We may look at that menu. So, maybe this vlog won’t be over. But, sorry for the mish mash of a travel vlog. Very overwhelming for our first time traveling uh to Japan here. And I it was just a lot to juggle with our luggage, trying to record then the camera, dealing with our phones for the for the tickets. Um, yeah, it was just overwhelming. It was a lot over stimulating. Like it’s We’ll do a quick hotel room tour while we haven’t messed up the room yet. So you enter and first thing off to the left other than a closet, but our bags are blocking that is the bathroom. Got one of them fancy Japanese toilets. Oh, I do appreciate how they do have English on the controls. It’s good to know. Good to know. The sink, vanity area, shower with a tub. A queen-sized bed here. This one’s bigger than a queen. Is it a king? Could be a king. We have a queen at home and that’s definitely bigger than our bed. Yeah. Nice TV, couple free waters, a tablet that controls the air conditioning and the lights. A lot of plugs behind the back and a Becky, which comes standard in this queen room because she’s a queen. Oh my god. Room service menu. And look at this view of Nagoya, Japan’s third largest city. Oh, that’s an elevator. They have lights in their elevator. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
