If you’ve ever wanted to step directly into the landscapes that inspired Ghost of Yōtei, now is your chance. PlayStation and Klook have announced the Ghost of Yōtei Hokkaido Tour, a curated journey through real-life locations in Japan that shaped the game’s atmosphere.

From Edo-period villages to volcanic valleys, this tour offers both fans and travelers a chance to connect with the game’s roots in a completely new way. Bookings open on September 30, 2025, and the tours will begin on November 3, 2025.

Discover the Real Inspirations

The tour highlights the dramatic and cultural landscapes that fueled the creativity of the Sucker Punch development team. At Noboribetsu Date Jidai Mura, you can dive into Edo-era life by practicing archery, trying shuriken tossing, or even dressing as a samurai.

In Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley), you’ll walk through volcanic terrain filled with steam vents and cliffs, the same environment that inspired the game’s Oni domains and mist-shrouded fortresses.

For a change of pace, Lake Toya offers serene waters, onsen culture, and stunning views of Mount Yōtei, the mountain that not only anchors the game’s scenery but also lends its name to the adventure. Each location reveals how the developers transformed Hokkaido’s beauty and folklore into the world you’ll soon explore on PlayStation 5.

It’s more than sightseeing—it’s living the essence of Ghost of Yōtei.
