On the occasion of more than three million visitors to the space where the Montenegrin pavilion is located at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition, a concert by Montenegrin pianist Ana Vukazić was held in Osaka.
Vukazić performed in front of the Japanese audience for two days, and her concerts aroused great interest among visitors, the Government of Montenegro announced.
In addition to her own compositions, the Montenegrin pianist also performed the work Ondo no Funauta by the Japanese composer Hajime Okumura.
Vukazić expressed her pleasure and gratitude to the Montenegrin Pavilion for the opportunity to perform in Osaka.
“I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to perform in front of a Japanese audience and contribute to the exceptional presentation of Montenegro at this prestigious event. Participation in the World Expo is a great honor and responsibility for every artist. It is an opportunity to present the cultural identity and creative potential of the country to an international audience through art. I experience the performance in the Montenegrin Pavilion as a special moment in my career and an opportunity to connect contemporary musical expression with the tradition and spirit of the area I come from,” said Vukazić.
According to data provided by the organizers, EXPO has been visited by over 26 million visitors in the past six months, while more than three million of them visited the Commons C space, where Montenegro presented itself under the slogan “Celebrating Togetherness”.
The World Expo EXPO 2025 Kansai Osaka ends on October 13th.
