Japonya’daki Hayatım / Totoro’nun İlham Verdiği Fukuoka Yolculuğu/ Travel Vlog’ #travel #japan

Greetings everyone! Today I’m going to Fukuoka, the pearl of Kyushu island in southern Japan. I learned that Fukuoka is one of the places where Hayao Miyazaki got inspiration for scenes in some of his films. I set out to see this place, which also has a wonderful climate; semi-tropical weather. There are so many places I want to see! There is no need to look for an excuse to come here: sea, history, food, culture… everything is there! I will be staying in Hakata city. I chose to stay at the Blossom Hotel, right next to Hakata Station. It is both easy to transport and stylish. After checking in at the hotel, I’ll immediately go out to explore. The room was very clean and stylish. The city that inspired Miyazaki I am in a tropical state by the sea. Winters are mild, summers are slightly sticky but enjoyable. They built Hakata as a modern city without losing its historical texture. While walking, I realized that I had brought the wrong shoes with me 🙂 Since I was going to be walking around a lot, I decided to buy comfortable shoes. GU brand is a brand where I can find comfortable shoes at the best price. Since I’ll be walking around a lot, I need to wear comfortable shoes. Now we come to a treasure hidden in the heart of Hakata: Tochoji Temple. This place is not just a temple, it houses the largest sitting Buddha statue in Japan. However, it is closed today and I can only see their wonderful garden :)) I hope you come and see. Wooden beams, the smell of incense, a deep serenity A temple in the middle of the city, but far from the crowds, that soothes the soul Muen Cafe is a place that went viral, I was curious. It is especially famous for its innovative menu and artistic desserts. The famous Matcha dessert, themed around a Japanese garden, is very famous. The people ordering at the next table showed it to me with excitement.. But… since it’s a big portion, I’ll try a smaller dessert. I’ll try the tiramisu. I can say that it is the best Tiramisu I have eaten in a while. The cafe attendant told me that I had to pour the coffee sauce that came with the tiramisu on top of it 🙂 In the evening, my friends and I walk to the riverside where there is street food. Fukuoka evenings mean Yatai streets. The best thing to do at night in Hakata is to taste the night street food. Small food stands, big stories A stool, a bowl of ramen, a smile You can even start a conversation with a stranger next to you. Fireplace smoke and laughter describe the spirit of Yatai, Fukuoka As if to say, this is how a city is lived.. While I was wandering around the streets of Hakata, I noticed a smell that came to my nose; I told my Japanese friends I smelled the wood and fire cooking! After asking around, we finally found this place 🙂 The name of the restaurant: Hakata Hotaru Izakaya. What makes Hakata Hotaru special isn’t just the food, but the overall atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm “Welcome!” The staff is very energetic and kind. It’s really enjoyable to sit at the bar and watch the chefs prepare the food. I love the Sparkling Black Tea soda! The perfect place for both local experience and good food. The menu is truly diverse and offers classic izakaya flavors with a modern twist. Seafood egg pudding..I liked it. Tuna sashimi is served raw but is delicious with its sauces! My friends help me understand the menu 🙂 Honey cheese 🙂 I’d say the prices are quite reasonable, too. The average bill per person is between 3,000 and 4,000 yen. With a drink, a few small plates, and a main course, you can have a very satisfying dinner. The prices are really reasonable considering the quality. Golden Eyed Sea Bream Mackerel Fish tuna If you’re ever in Fukuoka, I highly recommend stopping by Hakata Hotaru. It’s the perfect place to experience true izakaya culture! I’m going to Kumamoto City from Hakata Station. I want to see Kumamoto castle. When you arrive at the station, you will encounter local restaurants and bars. Kumamoto… a city where the samurai spirit is still felt. But Kumamoto fascinates not only with its history but also with its nature. Stone walls tell centuries-old stories And the magnificent Kumamoto Castle The history of Kumamoto Castle dates back to 1467, when the fortifications were established by Ideta Hidenobu. Samurai pride is still embraced as a culture of the people in today’s Japan. Since cameras are prohibited inside the castle, I can’t show you the inside 🙂 It rains occasionally, And, I returned to Hakata station. My destination now is Nanzoin Temple. The railway between the mountains is wonderful. The atmosphere is so calm, as if the rain has washed away all the noise. Because of the rain, I had brought a spare set of clothes. I happened to bring a long dress :)) I can enter the temple 🙂 Nanzoin Temple is famous for having the largest Buddha statue in Japan. The forest where it is located gives you peace and touches your heart. The garden has waterfalls, caves and a mystical atmosphere. According to legend, the temple brings health and luck. I’m curiously exploring every corner. The temple garden has waterfalls, small caves and a mystical atmosphere. A new mystery hides around every corner. I want you to see the size of hundreds of small sculptures 🙂 One of the largest bronze Buddha statues in the world A giant Reclining Buddha in front of me 41 meters long, 300 tons weight Being in a lying position gives the message that “Life is temporary, what is important is serenity and compassion.” This position reflects the Buddha’s suffering-free, peaceful and serene state. According to legend, those who come here find health and luck. As for me; on the one hand, I watch people praying, and on the other hand, I watch nature. The rain is over, now I’m taking the train to Itoshima. There are two more very important places I want to see. It is very enjoyable to watch the valleys sparkling on a sunny day from the train. When I arrived at Itoshima beach, I was amazed by this incredibly beautiful view! The view makes you say “how beautiful life is” for a moment 🙂 And there it is: Sakurai Futamigaura has double stones. These Couple Stones symbolize the beauty of sunsets and happy marriages. A great place to listen to the sound of the waves and the wind. This place is amazing! As the wind blows my hair, I… I breathe in the scent of the sea in peace. I also offer photography services from time to time 🙂 Two huge rocks in the middle of the sea, a huge sacred rope tied together and the most famous stone gate. In Japan, these stones are symbols of marriage and fidelity. Itoshima is a place that connects your heart with the sea. There was a place where I could find a bus by walking along the beach. The beachside location is heavenly, called Palm Beach in Itoshima. I walked a little and came to Palm Beach. Just like its name; palm trees along the beach, holiday atmosphere. It’s like she’s a smaller copy of Minami. A very different town with cafes, beach bars and souvenir shops Life here is a little lighter, a little more enjoyable. Just having an ice-cold drink and watching the sea is enough. Palm Beach: Itoshima’s holiday side, and I feel like I discovered this place late 🙂 I want to buy myself a little something to remember Palm Beach by 🙂 I take a local bus to my next destination, passing through Itoshima’s beautiful nature, villages and towns. After about half an hour on the bus, I arrived at Keya no Oto. Magnificent nature once again! A rocky structure that looks like a giant cave entrance… It’s as if nature is singing its own song. When combined with the ocean waves, it creates an incredible sound. This is one of the largest sea caves in Japan. Rumor has it that it used to be a pirates’ hideout. Now, it fascinates people with the power of nature. Shall we walk to the famous Totoro Forest on the hill right next to the Keya no Oto gate? 🙂 A wonderful forest by the ocean. When you enter the forest from the ocean shore, you suddenly enter another world. Totoro Forest is where a scene from Hayao Miyazaki’s movie “My Neighbor Totoro” takes place. This is one of the places that inspired the movie ‘My Neighbor Totoro’. Entering the forest, I can see why Miyazaki was inspired by it. difficult muddy path, dense trees, bird sounds… It seems like the big, cute Totoro will appear before me soon. Totoro Forest: A fairytale world From the ocean to the forest, a transition to another dimension. It’s like Totoro is walking around here with me. The forest that inspired My Neighbor Totoro. Looks like Totoro is about to appear at any moment Even the wind speaks here. The heart of the forest beats with your heart. Like Totoro’s secret lair. As I walk, some lines from the movie ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ come to mind…. ‘Can you hear the wind?’ “Can you hear the wind?” “Yes, I can actually hear it here.” “Trees and people used to be friends. When I saw that tree, I decided to buy the house.” “The wind shakes the trees, as if they are singing.” I was excited to encounter a huge spider 🙂 Trying to find my way while walking through the Totoro forest. I feel like I’m going to a really good place 🙂 It was a pleasure to meet someone 🙂 I don’t know where the road will lead to, I feel lost 🙂 The sound of the ocean on my right, the sound of insects on my left. Could there be a settlement behind the insects? And I saw a sign 🙂 This is a nice spot to relax! Yes! There is the seaside on the right, if I go to the left there is a car park. This trip ends on a very busy and hot summer day. Right at the forest exit, I see a minibus selling lemonade. Now I ordered a ginger lemonade and will finish the trip by drinking it. I’ll have an ice cold glass… The tiredness of the whole day, the warmth of the sun, the stories that accumulated in my heart… It all turned into a sweet memory while drinking that lemonade. This is how my Fukuoka trip ends, with a refreshing sip. Fukuoka, the southernmost city of Japan… One of the most beautiful areas of Japan every day I’m discovering more of Japan’s beauty. Can a country be this beautiful? And how can a country be protected this well? Of course, there are many beautiful geographies in the world. but at the same time it can be preserved so beautifully I think Japan is one of the only countries I hope you enjoyed this trip too. Thank you so much for watching so far Maybe one day you too will come to Fuoka and you can walk in the totoro forest like me take good care of yourself..

  1. Senin videoların kendimi özel hissettiriyor okadar güzelki eline sağlık Didem yine harikaydı bayıldım çok güzel yerler Teşekkürler canım ❤👌👏👏

It’s time to travel diye bir kanalı takip ediyorum, Japonya’da farklı yerlerdeki farklı hotel ve konaklama yerlerine gidiyorlar. Rehberlik de yaptığın için sana fikir olur diye düşünüyorum. İnşallah bir gün oralara gelip rehberliğinle birlikte gezmek dileğiyle ❤❤❤

  4. Şu örümceği görünce izlerken kaçasım geldi ürperdim gercekten. Ama manzara efsaneydi. Tapınakların hepsi ayrı bir güzellikte. Fukuoka ne muhteşem bir yermiş. Böyle olunca gezilecek yer listesi aldı başını gidiyor 😅. Sonunda gezgin yapacaksıniz bizleri böyle harika videolar yüzünden. 😅🤠😎
