StarCruises has announced that its flagship Star Navigator will return to Keelung in February 2026, following her deployment in Kaohsiung.
From February 17 to December 11, she will sail on an extended ten-month season offering a wide range of itineraries to Japan and South Korea. With departures designed to suit different travel styles, guests can choose from quick weekend escapes, short four- or five-night getaways, or a new seven-night summer voyage to Tokyo.
The highlight of the 2026 season is a limited, one-time-only seven-night cruise departing on August 2.
This itinerary will showcase four distinctive Japanese ports: Kochi, known for its samurai history and scenic coastline; Yokohama, gateway to the energy of Tokyo; Shimizu, with its breathtaking views of Mount Fuji; and Osaka (via Wakayama), a city famous worldwide for its food culture.
Several 5-night cruises will explore Kyushu and Okinawa, with options including Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Naha, Fukuoka, and Nagasaki. These trips showcase volcanic landscapes, samurai heritage, and tropical island charm. Additionally, itineraries mix South Korea and Japan, featuring Jeju or Busan paired with Japanese ports.
For shorter getaways, there are 2 to 4-night cruises to Okinawa’s key destinations—Naha, Ishigaki, and Miyakojima—offering beach relaxation, island culture, and coral reefs. Weekend escapes are also available with late-night departures on 2 and 3-night high-seas cruises, ideal for maximising leisure time without taking extended leave.
Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises, highlights growing demand for convenient cruise holidays and promises even more choices and memorable journeys from Keelung in 2026. Bookings open October 16, 2025, via local travel agents and the StarDream Cruises website.
