Relax Mode: ON. Okinawa: OFF 😳

We are going to Okinawa. Okinawa!!! Where are we going? Tullys Oh, okay. I meant where are we going on vacation.. but not yet. We’re going to Tullys for a coffee. No, no, no, no. We are going to Okinawa. Okinawa. We started our trip at Haneda airport heading to Okinawa to celebrate Masa’s birthday. Okinawa is about a two to three hour flight from Tokyo and is made up of more than 160 islands but only about 40 are inhabited. (oh, it’s tracking my face.) What is mi amor eating? After grabbing a quick bite to eat, we were ready to pick up our rental car. Before checking into our hotel, we made our first stop at Cape Manzamo. Even though it was a little cloudy that day, the view was still breathtaking. Cape Manzamo is famous for its elephant-shaped
cliff. The name actually comes from the Ryukyuan king in the 1700s, who said the grassy area on top was big enough for 10,000 people to sit. Dragon flies. There’s dragon flies everywhere. By the time we arrived at the Orion Hotel Motobu Resort and Spa , we were already behind schedule because our flight had been delayed leaving Tokyo. Slipper, doko (where)? It’s a huge shower. Wow. Toilet? Is it a luxury toilet? Oh, slippers have been found. Are you wearing your shoes? Are you wearing your shoes inside mi amor? Aren’t you Japanese? Why are we sleeping on separate beds? Wow, nice couch. See this view? Oh, wow. Definitely an ocean view. A pool. and complimentary water We’re going to go eat overpriced all you can eat buffet. wow. wow. That’s where we just ate at the buffet.
So, 6,500 yen each for an all you can eat. Oh, look. What is that? What kind of bird was that? Um, I mean it was okay, but we’re never eating there again except for the free breakfast. Masa kept going back for the puny piece of steak. Yes. Four dishes. That’s it? Four servings. Oh, indoor pool. It’s a (I don’t want to film people) buffet, breakfast with a beautiful meal. The next morning, we headed to Junglia where we were meeting some friends. It was already super hot outside. Thankfully, the park provided free UV umbrellas for guests. This is Jungla. Junglia. Junglia had just opened in 2025 and it’s themed around exploration and adventure, but the Google reviews haven’t been too kind, so our expectations weren’t very high. We rushed to grab limited tickets and had our app ready to go. The balloon ride we wanted to ride was closed. A little birdie told us it had only flown three times since the park opened because of Okinawa’s unpredictable weather. But we did get tickets for the flying phoenix and sky trekking. Then we lined up for dinosaur safari. No tickets needed. My hair got stuck… (photography and video recorded inside the facility are strictly prohibited) Another thing we noticed was the park was not very
packed despite some of the lines. It’s our lunch chilled the vegetable curry and shikwasa lime slushy. I couldn’t film much because of safety rules, but we ended up having so much fun. Splash Fest was perfect for the heat.
We drove buggies, flew like Superman, and even watched poor Taichou get eaten by the T-Rex. There’s a girl over there. Random girl walking in the Junglia. A dinosaur. There’s a photographer, too for Instagram. The balloon that never works dinosaur arghh After Junglia, we tried to go to a Thai restaurant, but it was closed. Instead,  we found this cozy place called Yambaru
Shokudo Kuni. And wow, was the food amazing. The next morning, we started with the hotel
breakfast, which I have to admit was really good. Good morning. It’s a beautiful day out here and we are heading to the aquarium. Where is Bat? Oh, yeah. Yeah, that’s a good place for them to hide. You want to go look for bat-san? didn’t bring sandals So beautiful. Look at Masa having fun. kirei almost like a little butterfly. Oh, fly away butterfly. So beautiful. Churaumi Aquarium is home to one of the world’s largest tanks, the Kuroshio Sea, where you can see whale sharks, manta rays, and hundred of other sea creatures swimming together Masa was especially excited to see Jinta, the aquarium’s famous whale shark (Jinbei). From here, we drove to Kouri Island to see the famous Heart Rock. Okinawa is full of little scenic spots like this, each with its own romantic story. For lunch, we stopped at Cafe T & C Toraku. I really enjoyed trying jimami tofu — a local specialty made from peanuts. The view from the patio was also lovely. Then we headed to Nakayama Coffee Farm. The
drive up the jungle road was surprisingly tight, but once we arrived, we realized it was a pretty popular spot. Okinawa has a small but growing coffee culture. Because of its subtropical climate, it’s one of the few regions in Japan where coffee can actually be cultivated. Oh my goodness. Wow. We made it. Sugoi! Good job, mi amor. Wow, beautiful. Oh, smells so good. They even had a cute little map to guide you through the property. bought omiyage this place is so cute. Oh, they have washrooms here, too. They have washrooms. It was too hot for hot coffee, so we went for iced, which really hit the spot. Oh, is that you? Are you scared mi amor? I don’t know if you’ll survive in Belize like this. I’ll come back out here at midnight if I have to. Ehhhhh!!!

Join us as we explore the beauty (and a few surprises 👀) of Okinawa! From walking through the wild at Junglia, to seeing the famous whale shark Jinta at the Churaumi Aquarium, and visiting the iconic Heart Rock at Tinu Beach, this trip was packed with unforgettable moments. We also made a stop at Nakayama Coffee Farm to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and a great cup of coffee… and let’s just say something was lurking at our hotel. Dun dun dun…

P.S. We were also celebrating Masa’s birthday, so this trip was extra special! 🎉
