Is Universal Studios Japan Worth Visiting in 2025? 🇯🇵 (Watch Before You Go)

Today guys, we are exploring Universal Studios 
Japan. This is our very first time at this park, so we’re very excited to see what this park has to 
offer. Now, as you can see behind us and in front of us, there are so many people. People go crazy 
for Universal Studios Japan. And that’s why we booked an Express Pass, specifically an Express 
Pass 5. Sorry, I’m a little bit distracted with all the music around me. is amazing as we’re 
entering the park. Now, the reason why we did that is because we get priority access to 
five of the main attractions here. We get to skip the queue. Not only that, well, we also 
get guaranteed timed entry into Nintendo World. Oh, is it backwards? Okay. Okay. Thank you. And we have made it inside of the park, guys. 
Don’t be intimidated by the sheer numbers of people arriving because it was actually very 
efficient. It didn’t take too long. It took us like 20 minutes, but we came early. And 
the park officially opens at 9:00 a.m., but they were actually letting people in from 
like 8 8:30. And I believe a lot of people are running towards the entrance and running into the 
park because if you don’t have an express pass, then you want to be getting yourself straight 
away to Nintendo World. We don’t have to do that because we have the pass, which we’re going 
to be talking about a little bit later on. As per usual, Karolina wants to do a bit of 
shopping. I really like this one. It’s Yoshi. Yeah, I like that one. That is pretty cute. How 
much does it cost? It’s like 2,900 Japanese yen, which is like $20. I also like this one. This 
is so iconic. Oh, that is cool. I like that one as well. Yeah, I like this one. Kawawaii. 
Kawaii. I think this one. Oh, yeah. You think it’s a good choice? Good choice. Okay. 
Okay. First time. Welcome to my Oh, stickers. Go. We got some stickers, guys. So, as you enter the park, guys, you’ll come 
into an area called Hollywood. And it’s really cool as an entrance because it really makes 
you feel like you’re on a Hollywood set. It feels like something out of an American 
movie. Now, the park is quite big. So, we’re going to be covering three of the main 
zones here at the park. That being Minion Park, the Wizzing World of Harry Potter. I can’t wait 
to go to that one. I’m so excited. And of course, you can’t come to USJ without going 
to Nintendo World. That would be a crime. We have the express pass with the timed 
entry. So, we have guaranteed entry into that. Bele. Hello. We have express pass. 
Okay. Let’s enjoy. Thank you. get to skip all of the lines. It is 
say 65minut wait time on the outside. You can see there’s no one here. Now 
if you come through the normal queue, you’ll have to queue up here. And the 
reason why it’s 65 minutes is you don’t see this from the outside. But how many 
people are coming into this attraction? This seems like a popular one. Yeah, I 
love the fact that we get to skip it all. Wow. Wow. Wow. That was incredible. We were 
not expecting that ride experience. But it is like a roller coaster, but it isn’t without 
any spoilers. I love that. like we were brought into this minion word. And a little tip to sit 
in front of the um if you can manage it, go to the front of the seats. You want to be standing 
closest to the door because you’ll get the best ride experience. And just be careful of bringing 
like loose things with you because like I said, it is like a roller coaster. But that was probably 
the highlight so far of our day. That was amazing. It’s banana ice cream and a cookie. And it’s 
so hot, so it’s so refreshing and I love it. So, that was Minion Blast, guys. We’re not able to 
film any of the rides here today because Universal Studios Japan are very strict with filming rides, 
but we are going to share our experience. So, you know, kind of the rides we enjoyed the most 
today. Now, Minion Blast is a new ride. It’s only been open for like a month and Karolina beat me 
at it. So you get these guns and you’re going around in the conveyor belt. Yeah. You’re kind 
of shooting with the laser. So you’re shooting a lot of minions. Uh I think for kids that 
is probably one of one of the highlights for them. So any of you guys going with families 
definitely got to check out Minion Blast. Hello. Could we go for the Bob’s Villain 
Con drink bottle? Yeah. Okay. Ah, you get to choose the drink. Look at this guy. 
Yeah. Bob’s Villain Con drink bottle. Okay. Are you open? You twist the head and you put 
the drink inside. This is so cute. I love it. You can you can actually wear it. Okay. Thank 
you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Byebye. That was an enjoyable experience. I was worried 
about this one because you haven’t watched the movies, have you? No, but I’m a little bit 
afraid of sea life and especially sharks. And so, you had a bit of a surprise during that boat ride. 
A little bit of a warning. You do get a little bit wet. They do splash you a little bit. When it 
comes to buying tickets for Universal Studios Japan, you can’t purchase them at the park. 
You’ll need to book online in advance. To enter, you’ll need a studio pass. And the easiest way 
to secure this is through KLOOK. Simply scan the QR code on screen or use the link in the 
description to purchase your studio pass. Now, we highly recommend getting an express pass. 
Yes, it’s an extra cost, but flying all the way to Japan only to spend half your day stuck in 
lines, that just doesn’t make any sense. We went for the Express Pass 5, and while it was great, I 
honestly wish we had gone for the Express Pass 7. Rides like the Flying Dinosaur and Jurassic 
Park the Ride had insanely long wait times and we just didn’t have enough time to fit them 
all in. For a little bit extra, you just get to experience so much more. So, take it from us. 
If you want to make the most of your day at USJ, grab both your Studio Pass and Express Pass 
on KLOOK. Scan the QR code on screen or use the link in the description. And remember, 
getting an express pass doesn’t include park entry. You’ll still need the Studio Pass 
as well. We’re now entering the wizarding world of Harry Potter. As you can hear by 
the music in the background is very busy, so having to dodge people. But really cool 
thing here with the Express Pass 5 is that we have designated time slots for our rides. So, 
not only are we guaranteed entry onto the rides, but also it’s really well planned. So, they’re 
not rushing you from one part of the park to the other, you get plenty of time. Oh, the music and 
the sound effects. It’s happening now. Incredible. Again, we get to skip the queue with the express 
pass. We’re heading into the Forbidden Journey. Okay, I got to go. What did you think of The Forbidden Journey? I 
love Harry Potter, but I was always scared and actually all of my biggest nightmares were just 
there. So, I was so scared. On the other hand, I absolutely loved that ride. It was really, 
really immersive and being from the UK, watching Harry Potter growing up, it kind of brought me 
back into them childhood memories. So, for me, it was definitely a win. And now we’re going to 
be heading into the flight of the Hippo Griff. So that ride was fun. It was very quick. Yeah. 
But actually we sat in the first row, so it was really, really nice. Whenever you get a chance 
to go in the front row, that’s always the best view. Now, one thing to point out with this ride 
is that some people because they were too tall or because of the size, um, they weren’t allowed 
to go onto the ride. So, they had to actually go onto the ride, see if the kind of Yeah. would 
kind of fit on them and if it didn’t, they were told to get off the ride. So, just a warning 
for anyone who’s planning to go on that ride. I like your hat. Nice. Thank you. Can 
we get two butterbeers, please? Huh? Is this your first visit here? Yes. My 
first visit. Yes. Our first visit. This Hello. Very hot. Oh, beautiful. Awesome. 
It looks like a beer. We have been looking forward to butterbeer all day. It is 35°. 
The temperatures here in Japan are crazy. Excuse us if we are a bit sweaty, but this is 
heaven. Cheers, Karolina. Cheers. Cheers, guys. Wow, that I love it. That’s so tasty. It’s 
very sweet and you’ve got that kind of milky creamy froth on top which it just compliments 
the drink. I absolutely love it. Oh yeah, that’s delicious. Wow, that was unexpected. One of the most important things you should do 
before coming to Universal Studios Japan is to download the official USJ app. With the app, you 
can check the live waiting times for all the big rides. Super helpful when planning your day. 
You’ll also see if any attractions are closed, so there are no surprises. Now, here’s a 
big one. If you don’t have an express pass, you’ll need the app to grab a timed entry 
ticket for Super Nintendo World. But be warned, these sell out fast, which is why we recommend 
booking the Express Pass with Cluke instead. Now, if you’re a foodie, you’re going to absolutely 
love this app. You can actually browse all of the most recommended foods and snacks in the 
park, organized by world. That makes it super easy to plan ahead and make sure you don’t miss 
out on the dishes you really want to try. Plus, the app keeps you up to date with the 
latest events happening inside the park. The digital map was honestly the feature 
I use the most. It shows you the entire layout of USJ and your location in real time, so 
it’s easy to navigate between areas. You can tap on any ride to see the current waiting 
times, check when shows are scheduled, and even find out exactly which shops and 
restaurants are in each section of the park. It saves so much time wandering around 
and makes your whole day way more efficient. So, Karolina, what did you think of Mario Kart? I 
actually quite liked it because we had a pink car and I felt like I was in the game myself. Did you 
play the game a lot when you were younger? a lot with my brother actually. I’m going to put this 
mushroom on my head. How does it look, guys? So funny. Definition of a mushroom head. Now, this 
over here, I think, is really cool. Let me show you guys. So, it’s Bowser’s shell, but it is a 
rrook sack. Pretty cool, right? Yeah. This fish here now. It’s going to blow your mind, Karolina. 
Oh my god. Oh my god, you are just pressing this. Can we go for one? One. Yay. Yay. Okay, guys. So, this is a 
green shell kzone filled with yakisoba and cheese. I love the turtle design 
on this. It’s all about the taste. I actually really like it. It’s like having pizza, 
but a Japanese twist on pizza. Very delicious. I’m so excited. What an incredible ride. That was, I 
believe, our favorite ride. My favorite, hands down. That was so fun. It was just the 
right amount of time. It wasn’t too short, wasn’t too long. And And it was so unexpected, 
wasn’t it? Yeah, it was a real joy to ride that one. So, you definitely want to be coming here. 
And usually the queue times are very long. I think even now it’s still over an hour. And 
so having the express pass, we were in within like 5 minutes. Okay guys, that is it from us
