Kobe Wagyu Feast & Time-Traveling Osaka Museum | Japan vlog
[Music] Good morning. Today’s Thursday and we’re going to be spending our time mostly in Kov today. Looking forward to the fancy dinner tasting the Kobe quality beef. But uh this morning we’re going to meet as a group, eat breakfast at Ka and then we do uh have something where we’re going to go to the Osaka Museum of the Living. It kind of shows you the history of Japan’s like whole floor of it and you can rent yucatas. So maybe we’ll we’ll wear a attire. But uh yeah, hope you guys have fun and enjoy this video. [Music] One katsu sandwich. [Music] It’s light. I thought I was expecting heavy, but it’s crunchy. And then there’s like colelaw on the bottom. So, it’s like a refreshing sandwich. I was expecting it heavy, but it’s not very. The bread is soft, too, and toasted. Nice. The gang each ordered different dishes, and they all shared. A key note is that the portions here are generous, so definitely don’t order too much. It’s all yummy and sharable. [Music] top floor. [Music] After checking in, there is a storage locker to place your belongings. The things you can bring with you are minimal, just your phone and camera, basically. We then headed to the ninth floor. There was a window of the floor exhibit that we’ll be walking through. This museum showcased the Edeto period. While waiting, we saw many elementary kids here for a field trip. We couldn’t help but pay the 1,000 yen kimono rental to get a more authentic experience of life in the Edeto times. The rental session was only for 30 minutes. [Music] We explored the streets, checking out the Japanese homes. We were also able to go inside. There’s a headset guide you can purchase before entering this floor, like what Eric and Tommy had. I’m guessing this was a kitchen. [Music] The exhibits were pretty elaborate. This moment made me realize that even though these guys were 100% Japanese, it was obvious that they were not Japanese nationals. [Music] [Music] Although there are many opportunities to wear a kimono outside in public, I felt this was more appropriate. There was a deeper connection dressing up here, just seeing how the Japanese lived versus being out on a touristy street. We also had fun being a typical tourist. I highly, highly recommend to check out this place. Truly just feel Japanese culture and history. You get to wear a kimono. It’s It’s pretty cool. [Music] Wow, it started raining with all the thunder and sound. [Music] Nice. We headed to a different floor that displayed fascinating diaramas. [Music] [Music] It also showed the appliances back then. The last showcase featured Japanese armor. It reminded me of the show Shogun. [Music] About an hour and a half at the museum, we then made our way to Coobe. First stop was Chinatown. [Music] Where Spider-Man is squatting is where we’ll be eating coobe beef. [Music] Shrimp dumpling. I’m really hungry, guys. So, I’m going to try one. Just came out right out of the steam basket. Looks piping hot. [Music] Hot. No, it’s it’s it’s all right. Like the the wrapping is it’s different. It’s like sticky and chewy. It’s not like what it is back home. And it’s mint shrimp, too. This wrap was eh I wish it was warmed up. [Music] If you folks don’t know, croquette is one of my favorite foods. I couldn’t help but go and try I got this no crab cream croette and then some red sauce. I’m not sure what sauce this is. Look at that. So creamy. [Music] It’s cheesy. It’s very good. It’s so crunchy and thin. The coating outside, but very crunchy and it’s so creamy inside. Very soft. What is that one? Shrimp and um scallop. Oh, this is super good. And the outside is really crunchy and Oh, really, really tasty. What is that? skin crispy kind of sweet sweet taste. Is it like um chocolate chunkup chalup? Is it like a chalup? Is it like love chunks? No, not at all. It smells like lch. It’s not. It’s good. So, we just took the bus. We’re going to go see Nunoi Falls via roadway. So, we’re trying to get to the Kobishin Consen Station. That’s where the roadway starts. [Music] Look at the direction. Look, we got to go up, down, back up. Let me just take a picture of the dang signs. [Music] Okay, so we made it to the entrance of the ropeway where you go inside the the cars car inside the car and it’s kind of confusing to get here, but there’s a lot of signage. So, um it it feels like you can get lost, but just look at the signs on the ground or right in front of you. [Music] Oh, the waterfall is nice. Oh, wow. That’s pretty. Well, I guess we go past the waterfall. [Music] Okay, we’re at the very top of Nun Nobiki Garden and it’s actually a hazy view. Apparently, you can stop at there’s two stops and I think we want we didn’t want to hike. So, I think we could have got off the first stop and kind of hiked on to the Nuniki Falls, but just going to chill at the top here. Yeah, we’ll share. Guys, look. They have honey milk flavored ice cream. What’s your guys’ thoughts about our friends here getting ice cream? It’s kind of cold up here. Yeah. [Music] Oh, it’s good. You can taste the honey. Is it like super sweet kind? No, it’s good. [Music] Something I did not think about was knowing the right season to come up here. The garden wasn’t blooming and we were looking forward to the bed of roses. The highlight was the ice cream and the views along the ropeway. [Music] At last, it was dinner time. We all ordered the daichi tano course which consisted of eight dishes. This was the coobe beef sushi, two different types. [Music] Oy. Tastes like fish but chewy. But it’s buttery. Very good. Here we got to choose one different type of coobe beef to upgrade and then we’ll also be served a sirloin steak. I picked the today’s rare part and of course Eric upgraded to the chateau bion. Look at all that marbling. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] I’m going to eat my second slice of sirloin. [Music] Oh my god. It’s like you’re just biting into butter. It’s so freaking soft. It’s not even chewy. It’s just like easy easy bite. So good. So good. [Music] Try the most expensive one, the charu brand. vegetables. Eric got that. He upgraded that. All of the fat and marble. Very fatty. So good. Yeah. So soft. I know. Yeah. High quality meat. [Music] This course meal was a hit. All of us were more than satisfied. The salad, veggies, and sauce dips all paired well with the Wagyu. [Music] For dessert, we had yuzu ice cream with a chocolate stick. Before leaving, I had to take footage of this bronze statue. It certifies that this restaurant serves authentic coobe beef. After we did a bit of shopping and then headed back to Osaka. I hope you enjoyed this vlog. It was a fun-filled day being able to dress up, walk through history, and enjoy Wagyu. If you plan on visiting Kobe one day or you were salivating while we were eating Wagyu, give the video a like and don’t forget to subscribe if you want to see more of my adventures. Aloha.
On this day we got a glimpse of the Edo period by going through The Museum of the Housing and Living. We all were able to dress up renting a kimono while at it. Then after, we headed to Kobe where we tried delicious street food in Chinatown, then rode our way up to Nunobiki garden, then ended our day eating exceptional Kobe beef (Wagyu) at Daichi Kobe Beef restaurant.
