I lived in Taiwan for 2.5 years and this was my favorite food in the whole world that I purchased from a Japanese curry house. I am trying to find out the dish name and maybe a recipe. TYIA!

It’s different than the traditional Japanese curry that was just the brown/reddish sauce with the potatoes and carrots. It was more “gelatinous” and tasted sweet but mildly spicy!

That yellowish pile—is that scrambled eggs over rice? If not, what is it?

It’s kind of hard to tell from the image, but if it’s still a curry (and not hayashi rice, like the other commenter said), it could be a type of Japanese black curry/kurokare/黒カレー.

Here’s a [YouTube recipe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tqQU3uxLyU), but googling the above terms will find you many more.
