This is our 2nd time here at Boracay (first time was year 2013). Boracay was closed last April 2018 for a 6 months rehabilitation and reopened again this October 2018. This is our first time documenting our travel time from the airport to the Hotel to show you guys how to go there and how are the improvements going on.

It is still the same route before reaching Cagban Port and the Islands of Boracay. First , 65 minutes airplane trip from NAIA Airport to MPH, then 5 minutes Bus Ride to the Jetty Port (or you can also walk, if you’re up for it). Next, 7 minutes boat ride to reach the Cagban Port. After that the distance will depend on the accommodation you choose around the Island of Boracay. In our case we chose the newly opened 4 Star Belmont Hotel Boracay in Boracay Newcoast (25 minutes ride from the Cagban Port). It is located in Barangay Yapak and has its own private beach. Hotel provides free shuttle going to Station 2 (20 minutes ride). Stations 1,2,3 are the famous meeting place and sunbathing area for locals and tourists. And is where you can find the mall, souvenirs, restaurants & main attractions of Boracay.

For the transportation, we decided to get a Klook package that includes door to door transfer from Airport to Hotel (includes all terminal fees and tickets on the port). You can also opt to have DIY because it is cheaper and easy as 123 but because we have an elder travelling with us, we try to avoid queuing.

As of this recording, there are still many road improvements ongoing and everyday that we are in Boracay, there are few but quick electric interruptions. But the new Boracay is cleaner and more disciplined than we were there 6 years ago.

If you notice, there’s a lot of transfer required to get to the Island of Boracay but it is worth it because Boracay is truly a Paradise. It has the unbeatable calm, white sand beach and perfect sunset spot.
