Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai: Terminal 2 Drop-Off from 5:00 a.m. Starting Oct 1

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition will revise the operation of taxi and hire car (chauffeured car) drop-off points and hours, expanding drop-off at Transport Terminal 2 from 5:00 a.m. starting October 1.

At Transport Terminal 1, drop-offs are permitted from 6:45 a.m., and the entrance gates also open at 6:45 a.m., so waiting in front of the gates before then is not allowed. Transport Terminal 2 allows drop-offs from 5:00 a.m.; before that time, the outer ring road around the venue is closed and vehicles cannot enter.

Early-morning visitors should wait at Transport Terminal 2 between 5:00 a.m. and 6:45 a.m., and from 6:30 a.m. they will be guided by security staff to the West Entrance Plaza. From 6:45 a.m., visitors should wait at Transport Terminal 1 and in front of the Sakurajima Station shuttle bus drop-off area, and will be directed to the back of the queue at the West Entrance Plaza.

As safety arrangements such as security staffing and first-aid stations are not fully in place in the early morning, visitors are urged to refrain from forcing early arrivals and to follow on-site guidance. These measures are on a trial basis and, depending on conditions on the ground, drop-off times, waiting locations, and movement times may be changed without notice.
