This day in Kumamoto was something special. We started at the majestic Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan’s most iconic fortresses, with its towering black walls and rich samurai history. Even after the earthquake damage, the restoration work is incredible—standing there, you can feel the resilience of the city.

Then we wandered into the peaceful beauty of Suizenji Jojuen Garden, a 17th-century stroll garden that felt like stepping into a living painting. From the miniature Mt. Fuji to the tranquil pond fed by Mount Aso’s spring water, every corner was a moment of calm.
