Day Two In Okinawa! Beach Day! Breakfast and American Village! Let’s go to the Beach!

Good morning, party people. Uh, I had a little bit too much fun during Halloween festivities last night. As you can see, it is a uh beautiful, slightly cloudy, overcast day here in Chantan, uh, where I am staying. I am getting ready to hop in a taxi and go get some breakfast. This is the start of my first full day. Um, found out this morning as I was laying in bed regretting all of the alcohol I drank last night that it takes like oh 2 and 1/2 hours to get to the aquarium from here and the buses only run like three times in the morning and three times at night. So that’s out. The Okino is a long island. It’s a long island. Don’t And there’s no trains. It’s only buses. So keep that in mind. Um, so I’m gonna go get some breakfast and then I think I’m just going to explore. I might go to Hacksaw Ridge or I might make this my beach day. Um, right now it’s low tide and the water is gorgeous. Like h I don’t even know like if the camera is picking up it’s really not picking up the the color, but Oh, it’s so nice. And I love those little rock formations out there. Might go snap some photos. My foot is uh killing me. Uh I’ve I took the brace off for right now because it’s just my foot is swollen and it hurts. So I’m going to leave it off for this first little foyer for into the uh wilds. And uh yeah, be back soon. Bye-bye. La [Music] long la. [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] la. [Applause] Oh, no. [Music] [Applause] All right, party people. I have fed. I have medicated. I have been to the drugstore to get more drinks and snacks. Um, one problem with this hotel, there’s no, um, there’s no ice buckets, like that kind of stuff. So, uh, you’re pretty much stuck with whatever you can fit in your fridge. And the fridge is a mini fridge. It doesn’t get like freezing cold. up. But it’s whatever. So, I’m going to head down to the beach, which is right right over here, the other side of that wall. And uh on the way back here in the taxi, I saw like a beautiful park. I think it’s AA Beach or something like that. So, going to wander down that way. I’m going to limp down that way. I switched into my flip flops so I can get in the water if I want to. And yeah, see what kind of trouble we can get into. Virginia. Oh my. Now that is lovely. What a nice photo spot. So this is Araha Beach and Ara Park. Ooh, low tide smell. Nice. Let’s angle you up a little more, bro. Look at the bridge. The water is such a nice color. Love it here. All right. See what we got. The water around it doesn’t even think about being this blue. So, you’ve got some picnic areas over here. I want to go on this bridge cuz it’s pretty. Wow. Stina, someone’s taking wedding photos on the other side. Wow. Look at the water. See American Village in the distance. Man out there fishing. Lovely. Oh man. Tropical paradise. I found the beach. It says no swimming. Why? Why is there no swimming? There’s a little path. Oh, this is the little swirly curly that I saw earlier. What are you doing? [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Yes. [Music] It’s really nice. It’s It’s actually a little chilly. Uh I’m surprised the water is also a little chilly. I guess I was expecting Atlantic more. Uh, this is definitely Pacific cold even though we’re all the way down. If you look, you see my hotel way over there. H, this is great. It just feels so good. Okay, now that I’ve been standing in the water for a minute, it’s not so bad. But like, come on. I want to go get some pictures of the fancy rocks. And I also want to take my sandals off because little pieces of shell are getting stuck and it hurts and I’m sinking into the water. So, just out of curiosity, is uh is anyone else like extremely paranoid when they’re traveling about natural disasters because earlier today after I finished eating, they were testing the tsunami alarm and it scared the bees Jesus out of me and I’m like, “Oh, great. I’m going to die. I’m gonna die.” I was way up on a hill. I wouldn’t I but like I noticed that there is this sign over here cuz I was wondering I’m like how the nearest high ground is like really far away. So I was wondering how how do you get there? And I saw this sign over here. things you don’t have to worry about in IG where I’m from says a tsunami awareness. A very angry looking wave chasing a poor kid in his nice down here. This is the beach office and the Ara Seaside Terrace which appears to be open. Oh my Beach office, parlor, rental, barbecue reservations. There is also this really cool kids play area. That’s a pirate ship playground. It’s got a zipline, a slide, another slide. Crazy cool jungle gym. But there were kids out there, so I’m not going to record too much of it. [Laughter] So, there’s this really cool amphitheater over here. Pretty cool. It’s pretty nifty. [Music] really great view. Like really nice. So now we’re going around the back side of the amphitheater. Ah, this is the thing I saw from the taxi. Okay. Wow. When this is all on, this must be gorgeous. See It’s really nice. Jet While goofing around, I’m back at the amphitheater and I saw this really cute water fountain. Look. Look. Look. He’s a beach. He’s so cute. Okay, I am quite tired now, so I’m migrating back to my hotel to rest. Turn on the air conditioning, watch some Netflix. Not watch Netflix. I don’t have Netflix anymore. Uh, watch NHK, I guess, cuz there the only three channels they have here is NHK, NHK, and NHK. And yeah, just going to keep wandering. [Music] Been walking for like 20 minutes cuz I didn’t want to try to take a bus a bicycle and ja American village. I don’t know exactly what finds what one finds in the American village. I assume it is Americans. Uh hopefully um maybe American food. There’s some restaurants up here that look promising. Going to see what I don’t want to get into trouble. I just want to eat and like get some vibes. I want to feel I want to hear the English all around me. Chhaton ribs. Shaston Shast. I don’t know how to say it. I swear to God I’m not going to Tony Ramos. This Soho restaurant looks good. I don’t know. Also, the most pathetic looking ferris wheel ever. Like, the lights don’t even all light up. It’s It’s really sad. This is obviously the place to be because this is where all the foot traffic is. So, also, I have on my crab headband because this is the only thing I brought with me. So, it me the crab YouTuber. There’s a Michael Jackson over there. There is a metron of people out here. This is a scramble. I I know you’re not. It’s a scramble. So like I’m just scrambling in all the directions. Scramble faster. There’s more people than I’ve seen in like years, man. There’s a bunch of Santa Clauses. Santa Claus girls. Bunch of boys and girls costumes, which is a really big thing here. Should have worn tennis shoes. All right. This This is weird. It’s like every tourist attraction from every beachside town in America in one place. Up there smells amazing. Let’s go this way first. We got time. Christmas tree stuff. That’s not me. Okay. I go up there. Tacos and burritos. So, this place is called uh Burrito Gang Okinawa. And uh I uh I had to have a burrito and a Corona. And I just have to say that burritos are next to godliness. Come on. [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music]

After arriving in Okinawa I decide to take it easy with a beach day and some good food! Join be for breakfast at Burger Bear and dinner in American Village!
