Japan’s most enchanting flower festival” #paisagemnatural #japan
[Music] your morning eyes. I could stare like watching stars. I could walk you by and I’ll tell without a thought. You’d be mine. Would you mind if I took your hands tonight? Know you’re all that I want. I imagine we fell in love on the butter skies with you.
The Fuji Shibazakura Festival (Fuji Shibazakura Matsuri) is one of the best and most popular occasions nationwide to view shibazakura (moss rose or moss phlox). The festival site, Fuji Motosuko Resort, is located about three kilometers south of Lake Motosuko in the Fuji Five Lakes region, offering stunning views of vast fields of shibazakura, with Mount Fuji in the background on clear days.
The festival typically runs from mid-April to late May or early June. The best time to see the flowers varies from year to year, but it usually occurs during the first three weeks of May. Approximately 800,000 shibazakura stems of five varieties are on display, producing enchanting fields of pink, white, and purple in varying hues. Festival stalls selling pink moss pots, shibazakura-themed souvenirs, and local food and produce complete the experience.
Since the Fuji Shibazakura Festival site can get quite crowded due to its popularity, it’s best to avoid visiting on weekends or during the Golden Week holidays. Visiting early in the morning is usually a good option to avoid congestion and ensure good visibility, although lighting for photos tends to be better in the afternoon.
