The Underground Watch Store in Japan Nobody Talks About
This is a cool clock from Seikko. With all honesty, they have a decent lineup here. Most Sea Masters are on sale right now. They have the yellow tag. [Music] Good morning, good afternoon, good evening everyone. Welcome back in our channel Mad Corner here and for this episode we are still roaming around Tenjin Fukuoka. It is quite rare for us to explore malls here in Japan. However, one mall stood out here and that’s none other than the Tenjin Underground Mall. We did our research and it’s quite intriguing. Plus, there is a popular watch store there called Quark and they say it specializes Rolex. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe I’m right. But let’s head down to the underground mall. This is a cool clock from Seikko. Vintage definitely. Huh. From above, this one looks like a regular subway entrance here in Japan. But as you descend, it feels like you’ll be transported to a different period of time. Polished tone floors. It has warm lighting. And for some weird reason, it smells good in here. and it has this kind of calm efficiency that you can only experience here. I guess maybe I am correct, maybe I’m wrong, but let me know in the comment section, especially if you have an experience here at the Tenjin Underground Mall. Also, if you have any travel needs or travel necessities such as pocket Wi-Fi, eim, hotel bookings, or tickets for some amusement parks, please consider using cluke.com and take advantage of our promo code madcornercluke to enjoy that 3 to 5% discount. Again, that is mad corner cluke. And don’t forget to use it. We are now starting to see the Quark store and their claims that they are the best in Japan when it comes to Rolex watches. They do deal brand new and used wrist pieces. For example, look at this Daytona here for 7,699 yen. And yes, they do give the tax-free privilege for tourists like us. Another Daytona here, reference 126515 LN for 6.7 million yen. And then more Daytonas. We’re just going to show them to you one by one so you can enjoy watching it at peace. [Music] With all honesty, they have a decent lineup here from GMT Master, Batman, Bruce Wayne, Starbucks, they have them here. By the way, I’m already using the C the CPL filter. But unfortunately, it’s still not working accordingly to what we like. So, if you have any suggestions, let me know as well in the comment section. They also have the day-day complication here with the fluted bezel reference number 228235 for 7.699 million yen. And then if you have your passport, you can present it to them and they will remove 10% to enjoy that discount. For example, this watch from 7.8 million yen, it goes down to 7.1. Just in case you are gunning for something simple, then the Oyster Perpetual at 41 mm reference number 124300. They are selling it for 1.499 million yen. Not bad of a choice, I would say, in terms of looks. And then the 31 mm at 1.2 million yen. 34, it says here, 34 mm at 1,79,000 yen. [Music] We moved inside the store and we are seeing more of the wrist pieces here. And by the way, they have a 1966 Submariner here for 4.9 million yen and a 1960 GMT Master is present too. And then if you are not yet satisfied, they have a 1963 GMT Master for 7 million yen. For the past few weeks, we’ve been receiving messages via Instagram about Daytonas. So, here are some of them. Once you visit Japan, I’m pretty much sure you’re going to enjoy hunting for these beautiful watches. It’s just a matter of time and where are you going to find one, but of course, it has to be the right price, correct? [Music] Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] Give me love. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] I’m here. [Music] [Music] [Music] There’s no denying that the Quark store here is quite small, but in terms of the available watches, inside. Dude, they’re loaded. On top of that, the vibe that they have inside is exquisite. By the way, it is our last day here in Fukuoka already, so it has been a wild ride. For the past few days, I really enjoyed the peaceful travel here. No need to rush. Taking your time and you’re just enjoying the moment. So from here we just have to walk for a few minutes, find the airport line and then after three stops you will find yourself at Hakata station and we’ll walk to Yodabashi. [Music] We already made it here in Yodashi. But unfortunately, it’s raining right now, so we have to run. After entering this massive place, you will be greeted right away with the watches. And of course, Seikko right in front of us. This is an Astron solar radio wave at 132,000 yen. Both of them 132. Then a chronograph Astron at 140,000 yen. It feels very fitting that right off the bat we are encountering Seikko. More astron,000 yen. A beautiful starry sky that I always mention is the SBXD029. They’re letting this one go for 297,000 yen. If you are one of those people who kind of wants it lowkey, then this Astro here is the perfect one for you for 132,000 yen. It’s not really an attention grabber, but still clasp. We are now encountering the PG line with the white dial for 188,000 yen. That is the cheapest and the highest price is 259,000 yen on your right. But if you want to keep it more dressy, they have the SX077 at 127,000 yen. It has the blue dial that’s on your right. And on your left is the GMT at 176,000 yen. Then moving on has an open heart with a blue dial. They have a good number of Prasad here from salmon dial, cream, black, white, and and an open heart black for 154,000 yen. More of the pas here. Who’s not going to fall in love with the cocktail, right? For 45,760 yen. That is the blue dial on your left. And moving on to the middle part is color silver and a light blue at 60,720 yen. A lot of people are glazing on this watch, but I cannot deny you because it is really beautiful. We are talking about the SBEJ00005 and the SBDC091. The green one on your right is at 97,900 yen while the one on your left is at 149,600. that the difference is the GMT complication which is more pricier. Moving now to the popular Seikko Prospects Panda. They have it here for 79,200 yen. These are not yet the discounted prices. All right, so you have to remove 10% if you are a tourist like me. The icy blue panda with the sunburst effect is at 82,720 yen. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] All of a sudden, I remembered a comment before talking about Orientate Star. So, here they are. Unfortunately, I’m not yet familiar with the watches that they have, but I assume this is a diver watch cuz that’s what’s written here, and it looks like it is. And the one up here is at 132,000 yen. The middle, it seems like it has an olive green dial with a mesh steel strap for 23,870 yen. It’s simple, straightforward, while keeping its class. For the price, I really can’t say if this is a standard thing, but as you can see, it’s right in front of you already. Automatic Orient Star for 85,360 yen. Since we’ve already tapped the Orient Star, why not talk about Orient as well? By the way, we have a video before where we had a $200 watch challenge and I ended up buying this Orient Bombino V2 and to my surprise, that video is actually performing well. So more of the Orient watches here. As far as I can see with their lineup, they are providing dress watches in a budget friendly manner. So if you have those two in your requirements, then you might want to consider checking out Orient. And on the other hand, if you want to make it a bit smaller, they have these things here. It seems like these are 38 or 36 mm. Just in case you are feeling a bit sporty, Orient got you as well. For the price range, 29,260N up to 33,880p. To our Tisso friends out there, we have the PRX for 69,300 yen. And at the back would be the Powermatic for 107,800 yen. I think we saw this one before. or this is the Tisso Sea Star for 123,000 yen. It has a blue dial and bezel. That’s the one on your right side. While the one in the middle sits at 170,500 yen. It has a blue dial in the middle as it fades to the edge with the black color. And the one on your left has a gray dial and bezel for 121,200 yen. Again, the prices that I’m saying are not yet discounted. Let’s have a quick run with the Hamilton on your right are the Viewatic. We have a Ventura up there. Another Viewatic right here. Jazzmaster and then the cockis on your left. Tag Hoyer will definitely make a presence. We have Formula 1 ones, Aqua Racers. The price would be 294,800. That’s the Aqua Racer. They also have the Tag Hoyer Formula 1 caliber 5 at 281,600 yen. You can’t talk about Japanese watch brands without encountering Citizen. And they have some of the watches here available too. That’s that’s a definite thing. Of course, Series 8 for 29,800 yen. That’s the second one up there. I really like the dial. It has a mesh and rainbow color in the middle. While the one on your left sits at 148,500 yen. It’s attack is more of a straightforward black dial with a bit of a texture in it. [Music] Hey, I’m [Music] You are planning to take things to the next level. Then we have Omegas here. The Speed Master that is quite associated with the Space Exploration, of course, they have it listed for 548,000 yen. And then more here. I think this one is on sale. It goes down to 738,000 yen. And if you’re a tourist, it seems like you can still remove another 10% out of it. A lot of Sea Masters, they have them here. And for example, this one, very clean looking face and they’re selling it at 718,000. And as we all know, the name Sea Master has been boosted by James Bond in terms of popularity. Most Sea Masters are on sale right now. They have the yellow tag and it says here until June 22 of 2025, but most likely once we uploaded this video, the sale is already done. That is on me due to multiple factors like I have a day job from 9 to 6. All right. And editing these videos will really require a lot of energy and time for my end. So guys, please. So I hope you guys understand that area that I have to manage. As far as I can remember, there are some yodashi stores that has Rolex watches, but unfortunately here I can’t find one. So I assume they don’t have it. On the other hand, whatever you saw from this episode is just a fraction of what is available here. Imagine it’s just a sentence of a paragraph. Well, if you’re seeing it as a paragraph, then it’s just one out of the story. We finally reached the point of our Fukuawoka travel where we have to start moving because I don’t want to miss my flight. That means this is the end of our 2025 Fukuoka trip as of May. Also, for the past year, 92% of our viewers are not yet subscribed in our channel. Guys, I would really appreciate if you will hit that subscribe button down below. It’s going to be a big help for me in creating more contents like this. However, if you’re not yet ready to do that, it’s totally fine because you watching this episode is already more than enough. For any suggestions, please let me know in the comments section. I would love to hear it from you. And you already know the drill. Thank you for watching and hopefully I’ll see you again next week for another episode. Mad Corner. I’m out.

Alright buddy, listen up. We’re knee-deep in the humid, neon-slicked streets of Fukuoka, Japan. Forget your Swiss-made precious metals for a minute. We’re going down a different rabbit hole. This ain’t about polite window shopping on Ginza. No, no, no. We’re talking grit. We’re talking the thrill of the hunt. We’re talking about unearthing horological treasures in the most unexpected corners of this underrated city of Japan.
Exploring the underbelly of Fukuoka’s watch scene. Forget the pristine boutiques. We’re diving headfirst into the organized chaos of Japanese pawnshops, places where history ticks on wrists waiting to be rediscovered. Brand new? Sure, we’ll peek at those. But the real juice, the real flavor, is in the pre-owned, the stories etched into the bezels and bracelets. We’re talking character, baby. We’re talking soul.
It does not matter if you are at the range of Seiko, Citizen, Casio, Tudor, Rolex, Omega or even Cartier! You will have the best chance of finding the best deal here and you just have to trust me.
But Fukuoka ain’t just about what you strap to your wrist. It’s about the sensory overload. The symphony of sizzling yakitori, the slurp of rich tonkotsu ramen that’ll slap you awake and make you rethink everything you thought you knew about pork broth. We’ll be hitting the Yatai food stalls, those legendary mobile food carts, for a taste of the real Fukuoka.
The first time I walked down the narrow stairs into this underground watch shop in Japan, I felt like I’d stumbled into a secret vault of time itself. No flashy signs, no tourist crowds.Just rows of gleaming displays. This Underground Japan Watch Shop Surprised Me! Rolex, Omega, Seiko and more! In this video I take you inside this hidden gem and show you what makes it different from the mainstream watch stores you see above ground in Tokyo and Osaka.
I’ll be upfront, Quark might not have the cheapest Rolex tag price but they have a good amount of wrist pieces that is more than enough for us to drool. After checking this underground watch shop in Japan, I decided to see a familiar store called Yodobashi in Hakata since we still have time.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or someone planning a trip to Japan, Yodobashi still owns a shock value due to its massive volume of items. From home appliances, Cameras like DJI and of course, down to the watches like Rolex, Omega, Seiko and more!
Fukuoka is not the top destination when it comes to plan but it will always have a special place in our heart when it comes to shopping because they always have so much to offer.
Overall, This Underground Japan Watch Shop Surprised Me! Rolex, Omega, Seiko and more!
Make sure to watch the entire episode and enjoy the moment.

Yea i got lost inside that underground mall 😂, gusto ko lang naman kumain sa ichiran that's not as crowded outside 😅
Thank you MAD for taking us in Fukuoka thru your videos! My husband is giggling inside while watching your watch videos
Quark is popular here in Japan but a bit high price in return of quality
Lakas maka Gentry at Pareng Hayb nang mga Rolex lodz
That underground mall is just wow!
Any store in fukuoka that sells and focuses more on vintage? Like an AP Cobra etc.
めちゃ めちゃ 高い です よ。 僕 は お金もち じゃない。
Quark is a big watch 2nd hand watch store in Japan that has multiple stores. Though in my experience they are always accommodating, sadly their pricing is quite high among their peers.
With that being said, it is always still a delight to see their watches at store 😄
Wow!
Excellent video so interesting to see what you can buy in Japan. Maybe turn the music down for the next video-catch you later
Vintage watch store pls
Quark is consistent with their used watches but never short in quality
Thank you MAD Corner for showing us where to shop in Japan! 🙏 Based on your experience, which shops or places would you recommend for finding entry-level 2nd hand watches at the cheapest prices in Tokyo, Kyoto, and/or Osaka? My budget is around $1,000.
I definitely love your content specially showcasing some watches. Suggestion for your future content. Showcase some of Japan's unique things that may improve daily living compared to Philippines. I think that will definitely help you in boosting your content. Kudos!
