Mizuno has concluded a “Future Co-creation Partnership Agreement” with Kamikawa Town in Hokkaido.
This agreement aims to revitalize local communities and promote sustainable community development through sports, with the following four objectives:

1. Healthy development and education of children
2. Creating opportunities for intergenerational and inter-regional exchange
3. Enhancing and promoting local attractions
4. Contributing to sustainable community development

As concrete initiatives, we are considering further expansion of regional revitalization through the power of sports, including continuing to host the “Big Snow Cup,”*1 Baseball5*2 tournament, first held in 2024, and introducing Baseball5 to elementary school classes.

*1 Baseball5 is a new five-a-side, five-inning sport inspired by baseball and softball that can be easily enjoyed anywhere with just one rubber ball, making it a growing urban sport.

At Mizuno, we believe that sports not only help maintain physical and mental health, but also create communication across generations and regions, and have the power to unlock the potential of people and communities.
Moving forward, we will continue to provide not only tangible products but also intangible experiences such as programs and places to be active, creating opportunities for sport participation in local communities while aiming to address social issues and realize a sustainable society.
