On 24 September, Kyoto University held its Autumn 2025 Degree Conferment Ceremony at the Clock Tower Centennial Hall with President Nagahiro Minato, the executive vice-president for education, student affairs, and admissions, and relevant deans and directors in attendance.
The degrees conferred were as follows: 41 doctoral degrees by coursework and 10 doctoral degrees by dissertation issued on 23 May (a total of 51 degrees), 30 doctoral degrees by coursework and nine doctoral degrees by dissertation issued on 23 July (a total of 39 degrees), and 106 master’s degrees, six professional master’s degrees, 109 doctoral degrees by coursework, and 10 doctoral degrees by dissertation, issued on 24 September (a total of 231 degrees), making a grand total of 321 degrees.
The doctorate recipients included five graduates of Leading Graduate School Programs and two graduates of WISE Programs.
The ceremony featured an address by President Minato, delivered after presenting a diploma to each student representative.
