Prince Hotels Worldwide (SPW) will acquire all stocks of Seattle-based lifestyle hotel brand Ace Group International LLC (AGI) at up to $90 million. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September 2025.
Through the acquisition of AGI, following the acquisition of Sydney-based Seibu Prince Hotels Worldwide Asia Pacific(former StayWell Holdings) in 2017, SPW is going to accelerate its global business development strategy.
Under the Seibu Group Long-term Strategy 2035, SPW aims to extend the hotel network to 250 in Japan and in foreign countries with the goal of ‘global hotel chain originated from Japan.’
Adding AGI, SPW will develop 11 hotel brands in total. AGI operates 8 hotels worldwide, including ‘Ace Hotel Kyoto.’
