Jack Miller is hoping to secure positive results for Yamaha this weekend at the ‘very important’ Japanese Grand Prix.
After already competing in Japan earlier this season, in the Suzuka 8 Hours, Jack Miller is ‘thrilled’ to begin the flyaways with the Japanese Grand Prix.
Miller has had success at the Twin Ring Motegi in the past, and it is the site of his last Grand Prix victory, which came in the 2022 MotoGP World Championship with the factory Ducati squad.
Now, as a Yamaha rider, Miller knows the importance of the Japanese Grand Prix for the Japanese manufacturer and believes it will bring out his strengths this weekend.
“I‘m thrilled to be back at Motegi. It‘s obviously a very important race for Yamaha, but it‘s also extremely special for me since this is where I took my last victory,” Miller said.
“I love everything about the Japanese GP, and the fans here are simply incredible. I was reminded of that at the Suzuka 8 Hours, where I stood on the podium, and again today during our visit to YMC headquarters in Iwata and then in Tokyo, where we were welcomed by many excited fans.
“I can‘t wait to start riding on a track I absolutely love, one that really brings out my strengths.”
Miller is the second Yamaha rider in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship and finds himself 17th in the standings. The Australian rider has scored 58 points so far this season, and his best result of fifth place came at the Grand Prix of the Americas.
