The winter season of 2025 blessed us with an abundance of snow.
In recent years, mountains across Japan had been experiencing less snowfall, but in 2025, there was truly plenty of snow, allowing us to fully enjoy powder runs to our heart’s content.
This time, we headed to Hakuba, one of Japan’s most famous snow resort areas!
There are numerous ski resorts in Hakuba, and the first one we visited was Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field.
Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field is known as a breathtaking spot with panoramic views of the Northern Alps, located in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture.
In winter, it offers a vast ski area where both beginners and advanced riders can have a great time, making it a very popular ski resort.
At the summit, you’ll also find the giant swing “Yaho Swing,” where you can enjoy the exhilarating feeling of soaring into the sky with stunning scenery as your backdrop.
The moment you’re surrounded by the clear blue sky and the snow-covered peaks is truly awe-inspiring, and it’s also an extremely popular photo spot!
