I’m craving Saba no Shioyaki but I live in the Netherlands and can only find smoked mackerel. Any ideas on how I can use this for a Japanese meal?

    This is mackerel miso made with salted mackerel.

    Ingredients (Serves 2)

    Salted Mackerel: 1 fish (300g)

    A) Sugar: 1 tbsp

    Mirin: 1 tbsp

    Water: 1 tbsp

    Miso: 1 tbsp

    Grated Ginger: 1 clove
