TEAMLAB PLANETS DMM Tokyo πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Full Tour : ULTIMATE GUIDE & TIPS | Interactive Digital Art Museum

[Music] Hey you guys, welcome back to my channel. I’m Anapuna and you’re watching Anchante by Anapuna. [Music] So guys, today’s day one of my Japan trip and we are in Tokyo. In today’s video, I’m sharing my experience at Team Lab Planets Tokyo, which is one of the most mind-blowing places you can visit in Japan. I’ll also give you plenty of useful tips to make your trip smoother, including what to expect inside, how to get there, what to wear, how to book your tickets, and the best time to visit this place. All right, so without any further ado, let’s dive in. First, what exactly is Team Lab Planets? It’s a digital art museum that takes you through some incredible immersive experiences. Imagine walking barefoot through water, being surrounded by glowing galaxies, floating flowers, and giant light spheres. Honestly, it feels like stepping into another universe. An experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Team Lab Planet’s DMM is located right next to the famous Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo. And getting here is super simple. You can just take the Tokyo Metro Urakucho line known as the Y line to Shintoyosu station and from there it’s only a 1 minute walk. After reaching inside, we began by watching a short video that explained the four zones, water, forest, garden, and open air across which the different artworks are spread. Since Team Lab Planets is a barefoot experience, we had to take off our shoes and store them along with our other belongings in free lockers and you can only carry your phones inside. All right, so the moment you step in, you’re walking through a dark hallway, which adds to the thrill, and suddenly you hit a waterfall flowing over your feet. Weird, but super cool. Then comes this wobbly, cushiony room where the floor literally moves under you. You laugh, you stumble, it’s all part of the fun. And then suddenly you’re in the infinite crystal universe surrounded by what feels like millions of twinkling stars suspended all around you. The lights change colors, bounce off mirrors, and stretch into infinity, making it seem as though you’re drifting weightlessly through a galaxy. It’s breathtaking, otherworldly, and without doubt, one of the most magical rooms I’ve ever walked into. Our next adventure was the colorful kneedeep koi pond. As you walk barefoot through the water, you’ll find glowing koi fish swimming all around you. The magical part is that they actually respond to your movements, scatter when you move, and glide closer when you stand still. Some even swim right between your legs. It’s hilarious and magical at the same time. Quick tip, you’ll be walking through water in multiple places, so skip long pants. And since there are mirrored floors all around, skirts aren’t a good choice either. But if you’re wearing one, free shorts are available which you can change into. Plus, clean towels are available after each water activity, which shows how thoughtfully everything’s organized here. From the koi pond, we stepped into a beautiful surprise, a room full of giant glowing spheres. The coolest part was that they change color when you touch them. Give one a gentle push and suddenly the entire room lights up with new colors and moods. It’s playful and dreamy, like a place that makes you feel like a kid again, running around, laughing, and playing without a care in the world. Personally, this was the part of Team Lab which I enjoyed the most. And then we made our way to the next artwork which honestly blew my mind. The falling universe of flowers. Imagine a place with thousands of flowers blooming and falling all around you in endless motion. Everywhere you look, new flowers appear, swirl, and fade away. It’s like being inside a living painting, and you just don’t want to leave. The best way to experience it is to sit back in the center of the room or even lie down, else you will feel real dizzy real quickly. We also loved exploring the catching and collecting forest, an interactive zone where the real and virtual worlds blend seamlessly. Using the Team Lab app on your phone, you can hunt for virtual animals hidden throughout the space. They’re all around you. Lions, elephants, rhinos, birds, and even reptiles. But here’s the twist. The moment you reach out to catch one, it dashes away, making the experience feel like a high energy digital treasure hunt. It’s a playful challenge that keeps you moving, looking, and laughing, totally immersed in the game. At last, we arrived at the mesmerizing moving flower garden. A breathtaking display where thousands of vibrant flowers swirl gracefully around you, drifting up and down in a delicate dance as you move through them. It was like stepping into a dream surrounded by petals that seemed to float on air. Honestly, we were left in awe. I mean, just look at it. It’s an experience that words can hardly do justice to. Right next to the flower garden is another stunning space called as the moss garden with silver avoids resting amidst the moss during the day which after sunset glow in shifting colors illuminating the place. This entire tour of Teamlab Planets takes around 3 hours after which you can enjoy a bowl of delicious vegan ramen at their restaurant Uzu Tokyo. Now, let me share some quick tips to make your Team Lab Planet adventure even better. First, book your tickets online at least 2 to 3 weeks before your visit since this place is super popular and tickets sell out fast. Here’s a quick demo for online ticket purchase. Head to the website teamlabplanets.dmm.com, which I’ll also link down in the description. Then, click on buy a ticket. After which you have to select your date, preferred time slot between 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the number of tickets required for different age groups. Like you can see, an adult ticket costs 5200 Japanese yen, which is roughly 3,100 INR. Read the basic instructions, stick them out, finally fill in your details, make the payment, and you’re all set. The next important tip is to try booking either an early morning or a late evening slot to avoid heavy crowds. I went around 4:30 p.m. and this place was packed. So don’t make the same mistake. Also, reach the venue at least 30 minutes before your time slot for a smooth entry process. And most importantly, dress right. Avoid long pants since you’ll have to walk through water. And if you’re wearing a dress or a short skirt, do wear shorts underneath since there are mirrored floors everywhere. Lastly, remember that the outdoor artworks look totally different in the daylight and after sunset. So, choose your time wisely based on your preference. So, guys, that’s all about the Team Lab Planet DMM tour. Honestly, it was one of the most incredible, immersive, and unforgettable experiences that I’ve ever had. And trust me, if you’re in Tokyo, you cannot miss this. I’ve shared as many details as I could, but if you still have some questions, please list them down in the comments and I’ll be happy to help.
