Enjoying the Kyushu food. stay over there and take the ferry coming back to Kobe. Yes, I’m enjoying the cruising cruise and the sightseeing. So, from tonight we taking the ferry all the way up to Hokkaido, but we still have a time. So, let’s go check out the doburi food street and let’s eat something. So, let me introduce this ferry. This ferry called Akashia since 2004 July 1st. It became a little bit older. However, still it’s one of the biggest and the fastest ferry. They are making the brand new ferry right now. And after that ferry comes, this ferry might be retired. And it seems like we have a gacha phone over here too. It’s a very special one. magnet. Interesting. And here is the children corner. They also have the game corner retro style. Also the price for vending machine cup noodle ice cream and also beer plus drink. What’s that? Uh this one used to be the seal vending machine but seems like it’s not working anymore. and also coffee. By the way, we are already here. It’s almost Akita Prefecture. Wow, it moves pretty fast. Oh, seems like the other side of sky it’s not raining, so probably the weather will be better. So, this is the cheapest room they have. There is a curtain and the private area. There is power outlet, too. Yeah, compared to the newer ferryy, it looks a bit different or well, after we arrive to the Hokkaido, we will check out the new ferryy too. So, maybe you can compare. How about the other room? And this is another private room up to four people. There’s a small TV and also power outlet kettle. Also, they have sink as well. And this is a barrier free room. There’s a space for the wheelchair as well. It’s a little bit bigger compared to the other room. Andu it’s a Japanese style room. There’s a sink but no bathroom. It’s the for salon or let’s go check up inside. This is the place that you can enjoy the view and relax. Yep. Seems like not raining anymore. And also they have a theater room. Those are the movies they have. But unfortunately only in Japanese though. One thing you have to be careful is that there’s no Wi-Fi. Yep. No Wi-Fi. But we are at middle of nowhere. So it’s shogun night though. But I heard the next new for the this route they will have the static Wi-Fi. But you know sometimes separated from the internet is a good experience though. And that’s the sisterhip of this ferry. It’s almost coming to this side. Oh yeah, it getting closer [Music] greeting each other. I’m wondering if they can see me here. And they go all the way down to my and the next room we are checking is fancier room. All right, let’s go check out the room. Ah, nice. Actually, it’s pretty big. It’s a bit classic style. And when the dining is closed, they have a cafe area. So, seems like those are the menu items. They have a light snack. Also, they have curry pan too and a crepe plus alcohol and also the soft drink. Oh, interesting. They seems like a mocktail. Cham jelly meat boo and the cham jelly hulam boards. Most of the ferry we have in Japan, usually they go close to the Japan island. So this is one of the rare furry. We can have this kind of view during the daytime. And already lunchtime. Seems like they have a beef curry and the sukiyaki half and half. That sounds interesting. Also the marinade. There’s salmon and octopus kachio. That sounds good, too. They have a pork cutlet curry, plus salmon and ikura. And this is a pork bowl. I think something that’s special in Hokkaido. They also have many different kinds of ramen noodle, too. So, this time, let’s go with ramen noodle. If we add 300 Japanese yen, we can add smoked fried rice as well. Here we go. It’s a shrimp miso ramen and also fried rice plus time the kind of beer saporo. Well, feels like I just ate the breakfast but somehow already I get hungry. Yeah, that’s the wonder of the human body. Interesting though. Anyways, all right. Sweet. So, speaking of the city that we are arriving, it’s right next to the Sapo. Yes, the tongue beer of Sapola. So, let’s cut with Hokkaido beer. But I really could enjoy though. If you visit Otalu that the captain bird definitely I recommend it. You can visit there and you can enjoy the cocktails with talking very friendly people over there. It’s a nice Japanese style breakfast. And it’s super fancy as well. It looks beautiful. It’s a boy yellow tail and also sashimi. Plus, ah, that’s something special. Crab shumai and a Japanese style omelette. Best rank white rice and miso soup. You know, whenever I eat a Japanese style breakfast, I always always confuse which one to start. Let’s go with the Japanese style omelette. [Music] They’re using the very special egg. It’s soft and fluffy. However, at the same time, very condensed egg flavor. Interesting. M. And they also have the sweets, too. Look at that. It’s a fruit sandwich. Ah, yummy. And also the one brown. It’s machosi. Ah, look at this seasonal bread using the potato, cheese, and mayonnaise. All right, so we got the snack. So, let’s explore in city. Seems like classic quiet arcade langa. Probably in the night time this place will be the drinking spot. So this one is not working anymore, but this is the first whale they made in Hokkaido. Well, there is not that many places that you can walk on the rail. So it’s an interesting spot. It continues all the way down. Very peaceful place. And now we are at Otalu Makodori Arcade. It’s a long arcade with so many shops. Station is almost there. Oh, that’s a lander school back for elementary school students. Nowadays, Design becomes much cooler compared to when I was a kid. Here we go. It’s hotel station. Beautiful, huh? By the way, from the hotel station to Osent Hotel where we stayed, it only takes about 5 minutes by walking. Wow, very peaceful town. Let’s go check up the hotel canal. So this hotel canal is a historic waterway in Hokkaido once vital for trade and transport. Today it’s famous for its preserved warehouse and a beautiful night illumination. So yeah, I really enjoy the steam room. When I coming back to the room, there are many people today especially it’s kind of crowded. There are from the younger kids seems like they coming from the club team and there was a restaurants there were the grandpa and the grandma. Seems like they were the group of people they are making campai. One of the grandpa says this could be the someone’s first time and it really moves me that you know yes life is short that I always saying that but uh sometimes having a slow trip disconnecting from the daily life and enjoying the life with nowhere that really important that I felt like yeah this one fy trip reminds me something really important you know in this ferry there are so many life and the stories is there are so many different kinds of people as well. So you know just having nothing and observing the people looking at them it’s already really fun. Well may you have no idea what I want to say but uh you know this kind of slow trips yeah reminds me something really important. So so what I want to say is uh I really enjoyed that. There’s ice cream, drinks, alcohol bolage, also hot water for the cup noodles, and also they have a game quarter. A bit small though. Oh my goodness, look at the sky. So beautiful. Interesting. So, I got the map from the Nigata tourist center. Let’s explore the Nigata popular spot. So the first destination is this Bandai Bridge. One of the most famous bridge in Nigata Prefecture. Nigata according to the info only takes 10 minutes by walking to the bridge. It says Baiash. So must be almost there. Oh, so observatory must be here because bridge is just over there. It’s in the 20th floor. Oh my goodness. We can see Nigata Town so beautifully from here. And we arrived. Wow. Oh my goodness. What a beautiful city. Oh, so the ferry terminal we have arrived. It’s just over there. So it’s a Bandai Bridge in Nigata Prefecture. A six art concrete bridge built in 1929. It’s a historical landmark offering scenic view of the Sanan liver and the sky lounge cafe. They have vending machine drink and small nigata souvenir. Well, I thought that we have a restaurant style cafe, but uh yeah, maybe thinking about the people over here, vending machine is enough. One best thing is that usually in the observatory, you need to pay for the entrance fee, but here in Nigata, it’s free. So, don’t forget to visit here if you visit a Nigata Prefecture. It’s a very peaceful town. And that’s the Nigata station where we were. We walk all the way down to here. Now we are heading to one of the most popular restaurant in Nigat Prefecture. It is a curry at the bus center. That’s one of the popular spot in here. It sounds interesting, right? Must be good and cheap. Let me see. So this must be the bus center. And oh, must be that one over there. Huh. Interesting. And it smells pretty good, too. They won the Japanese curry award in 2024. So must be it’s pretty good. So the curry over here. Okay. So, compared to regular curry, slightly sticky and also creamy. However, oh, somehow the taste is very gentle, but it’s really spicy. Yeah, I’ve been eating non-spicy curry recently. However, this place since it’s located right next to the bus center, so it’s super hot and also this curry is super spicy. So, sweating a lot. Probably you can come over here during the winter. I think it look better. It’s much and in Nigata station they have a saki museum too. Oh, so must be here. So if you pay 500 Japanese yen, you will get the cup and the five coins. You can try five saki. That sounds interesting. Why not? Let’s do it. All right. So this is the number one popular sake. Why not? Let’s try. So just place a cling. Oh, maybe we need to place this one. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Sweet. So, it’s very smooth. I thought it kind of spicy. However, yeah, very easy to drink. And they also told me that this is a popular sake. They serve it in the JAL gel airplanes first class. That sounds interesting. So, let’s do it, too. lost the coin. And here we go. If I keep drinking, probably I will be drunk though. But yeah, only we have five coins so it should be fine. Anyways, fine. It is smooth but more fluy. Yeah, it’s the same sake but it tastes totally different. Interesting. They have a popularity ranking over here. So maybe you can try from rank number one to number five. They also have the umesu the plum wine. Seems like this one cost two coins. So let’s do it. Most of the sake you can try it with one coins but some kind of sake you need several coins. Especially for the people who are staying in Japan for several weeks, you can enjoy the view of ocean and also the course dinner and also you can go to the destination as well. So maybe if you want to try that something unique to experience in Japan, you can try that ferry trip.
