An international guest list of creatives, tastemakers, and cultural figures moved through vibrant installations and striking scenography that brought the kaleidoscope theme to life. The experience shifted from intricate details of artisan technique to sweeping cinematic displays, celebrating Bvlgari’s global spirit. The guiding thread of the evening was a dialogue between color and culture. From saturated gemstone palettes to echoes of architectural grandeur, the jewels were presented not just as adornments but as vessels of memory and reinvention. The Roman house’s savoir-faire was enriched by influences drawn from far-reaching traditions, affirming Bvlgari’s identity as both rooted in its Eternal City origins and open to a wider cosmopolitan world.

The celebration spanned multiple moments, beginning with a press conference and special activations at the Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo before moving into a gala dinner that extended the exhibition experience beyond the museum. The event welcomed distinguished guests including Princess Takamado, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, and Italian Ambassador Gianluigi Benedetti, as well as brand ambassadors Kim Ji Won, Jang Wonyong, Hikari Mori, and Tomohisa Yamashita.

Conceived as Bvlgari’s largest showcase in Japan in a decade, the exhibition at The National Art Center Tokyo was held in collaboration with SANAA and Formafantasma, transforming the space into an extension of the kaleidoscope itself. The evening concluded with a gala dinner in the Atrium, accompanied by live music and a performance by vocalist Kanna Ogawa. Guests moved through three settings; The Science of Color, Color Symbolism, and The Power of Light, where nearly 350 pieces, from heritage jewels to contemporary designs, were presented alongside new commissions by artists Lara Favaretto, Mariko Mori, and Akiko Nakayama.

Workshops and presentations placed artisans at the center, spotlighting skills that sustain tradition while pushing it forward. Live demonstrations revealed the precision and intimacy of handcraft, emphasizing that the essence of luxury lies as much in process as in the brilliance of the result. At the same time, the house introduced Bvlgari Forvm, a new series of cultural conversations beginning with “A Story of Colors, Cultures & Crafts,” a symposium devoted to the meaning of color in creativity, symbolism, and identity.
