Summer Hokkaido Travel Vlog #2 Day 2 in Sapporo
Good morning. Welcome to day two. Actually, technically, I guess it’s the first full day, but I’m going to call it day two. So, I woke up at like 4:30 in the morning cuz apparently here the sun is up then. Changho is currently still in the onen area. Oh, no. He just came in. There he is. It says massage chair. Massage chair’s heaven. Miracle. Uh yeah, we went actually we had a bit of a loan. Uh as the Brits would say. No. Um not really though cuz that’s probably like if you sleep till like 8:00 at least. But no. One time we got out of bed like 5 No, we woke up at 4:30. Actually, I woke you up at 4:30 cuz I was awake and I couldn’t sleep again cuz there was a light. Note to self, use the blackout curtains tonight. Basically woke up at 4:30, laid around until probably like 5:30ish, started getting up and situating. Went and took a hotring bath at 6:00. It’s now around 7:00. Cho went and enjoyed a lovely massage chair. We had some We had some Yago, as the Koreans call it. had a couple of those back in the room. Uh, this is what it looks like currently. Yeah. Hot mess express. Oh, this is my It’s okay. It’ll be fine because I’m a type A neat freak. Changho is a type B. Let your freak flag fly, even though he doesn’t like admitting it. So, I’m gonna clean up and situate and then we will go situate breakfast. Okay. Before read my space, read your space. Uh, my space is first of all, half the in my space is your But anyway, I’m going to clean it up. So, let me just do that for a hot minute. [Music] [Music] I think we ready to go have breakfast. So, let’s go have breakfast. All right, we got the sto already making a mess of a shirt. Yours looks good though, isn’t it? Yeah. I got egg and salad and toast with red beans and must so good. That is so good. I shouldn’t be here. If we come here again, I think I’ll do Japanese style breakfast, though. I mostly eat the western one cuz I wanted the toast. I feel like it would be weird if I had salmon and toast. My favorite part about my hair is probably like the Coke Freestyle machine cuz this is lemon cream soda. Amazing. It’s not that good. Not that bad. Oh, that’s good. The only thing I don’t like about Western breakfast in any place I’ve been in Asia is the salad. Oh, something I don’t know if I mentioned yet. Today we will see Kaparas. No. Uh, the park that we’re going to has a zoo attached to it. have copy bars. Need to go to convenience store or something after this so I can get some skin care stuff and water. Skin care and water. Do need to get water. Okay, slow start. So, we had breakfast and then it took forever to try to shop for cosmetics because was not open until 10:00 a.m. and now it’s almost 11:00, but finally got cosmetics. My skin still looks but at least it’s probably getting to the healing places that it needs to go. And now we’re going to go to the park, Maruyama Park, and the Hokkaido shrine. Are you ready? All right, let’s go. Is living the cactus seat today? Huh? How many can walk? We got one, two, three, three, four, five, six, seven. Oh, don’t forget this one. Eight. He’s loving the cactusy. [Music] [Music] And now we’re random soup curry cuz Choco saw a place that he knew of and it was on the way and it’s not that busy. So it seems like a good time. Got all these spice levels. We have mild, regular, medium hot, hot, very hot, infernal hell. I got what I got. I got the Genghask con curry with the lamb, tea, fried cheese, and I got mixed cheese in my curry. What did you get, Cha? You got the tomato one, right? With the tomato soup curry. And you already got ice cream, too. Nine. Nine. Nine. What? Nine. Nine. Oh, nine rating. It was very good. I realize now I definitely overrated the place from yesterday. The meat from yesterday was very good. But actually, the soup base yesterday compared to the soup base from this place was bland of crappy. I’m I’m going to have to bump suage down to like a seven. Uh but this place was like a nine. Actually, no. I’m going to say 8.5 cuz the meat here was not as good. Uh chicken was like yeah maybe but the soup amazing chicken was little bit chicken was like yeah your chicken didn’t look as good as my chicken yesterday for sure but this place soup base was bomb.com.org like it was good. Now we finally got to the park. I like popcorn. Me too. It only took a stupid amount of time cuz we randomly stopped for food. [Music] I am very glad to be in the shade and out of the sun. It’s still way less hot than Korea. Korea is much hotter. far more miserable. This is bearable, which is part of why I wanted to come here for summer vacation, cuz I knew it would be more bearable than being in Korea as far as temperature. Now, we’re here. Oh my god. Hold on. These are the kind of vibes that I like. Okay. [Music] This one really little little bit relevant to kind of pink pink likes like financial stuff like things. This one’s This is more interesting than a lot of shrines that I’ve seen before cuz like this one has all these smaller little shrine places to go and like bow and pray and stuff. So, it’s like I don’t know since we came in as well. Like this is like the third one cuz there’s this one and that one and there’s the one over there. It’s like different ones. And I guess it’s based on like what you’re praying for. One 1,938. This this one is like pounded setup like 1938. Oh this people who work the some bank one of like walker walker is like he’s like relevant with that person. Props to Chanho by the way who has been studying for Japanese for how long now? How long you been studying? I don’t know. You’re N2 level, right? N2, which is second best level cuz N1 is best level. So, let’s go see what the other one was about then. Yeah, we passed it. So, we went and prayed at the temple thing. Like, I know. I feel like I shouldn’t have told you what I prayed for. So given what we talked about earlier, I told Sean Ho when I prayed at the temple, I was like, my prayer was basically like, “Please don’t my up. Please don’t it up anymore. It’s been up enough. Please don’t it up more.” And but now I was thinking about that on the flight. I was watching Cinderella and you know she says you’re not supposed to talk to people about what your dreams are. You know why? Because as Cinderella sings in the movie, a dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep. And you know, wishes. You’re not supposed to tell people your wishes cuz then they won’t come true. Well, you’re not supposed to tell people your dreams. I wonder if that applies to your But I wonder if that applies to prayers. Like you shouldn’t tell people your prayers or they won’t come true and that means that my will get up and rocked. I don’t know. She lies like like a fairy tree fairy tale. Okay. You know what? You talking to the wrong person. Do not with a Disney adult. Okay. Yes. Now, we’re going to leave the temple or the shrine and we’re going to go to the No, we don’t. We’re going to the zoo cuz they have copy bars and red pandas. So, let’s go to zoo. Chanho is dying cuz he old and crusted and busted and musted and dusted. And there is literally the tiniest stairs. Like almost no lift to them at all. But we got crusty, busty, musty, dusty back there. Come on, you could do it. Fighting. You got this. I believe in you. I need to like walk like around. It’s that lower back, isn’t it? I don’t even remember cuz we did the safari ride and they had giraffe and also we went to the animal kingdom lodge and they had giraffe too. I is looking here. So cute. Are you for real? And I went and got me a cremia. Best ice cream ever. Hello. Hello. I probably like cuz I feel like So after we went zoo and a little bit shopping, I was feeling really really crappy cuz you know it be like that. And so we came back and I took a nap for a while and watched Japanese TV. And then I well we went and did hot spring bath and now I’m going to do some skin care and then depending on how I feel I might go to dinner or we might just buy convenience store dinner. We’ll see what happens. Play by ear and whatnot. Hopefully I’ll feel better. My feet still hurt though and I still feel kind of crappy but we’ll see what happens. Skin care can do wonders. Okay. What? I still feel like crap that I came out. Oh, yeah. Your cat shirt. I got him that. I think it’s adorable. I just So, Chan, how did you like your pod? Yeah, it’s good. My favorite is the egg one with the runny yolk is this one. Oh, he does love this. Love the mint pa side dish. The egg fish egg one. And I like women’s sour. [Music] [Music]
