Hokkaido Airports will relocate and expand “LOUNGE 大雪TAISETSU” in the Asahikawa Airport domestic terminal (Hokkaido, Japan), opening on October 1.
By moving it from the restricted (airside) area to the public (landside) area, the lounge will be available at any time during business hours, whereas previously it could only be used in line with the security checkpoint’s opening time.
The lounge will have 51 seats—about double the previous capacity—and five semi-private booths. In a space furnished with Asahikawa furniture, one of Japan’s five major furniture brands, travelers can relax before boarding. Phone booths and an e-cigarette-only smoking room are provided. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, and Wi-Fi are complimentary. Alcoholic beverages and snacks are available for a fee.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Access is available to holders of eligible gold credit cards or members with equivalent or higher status.
