4K Japan Niigata pref: Itoigawa city, Japan’s Great Divide
long ago, Japan was split east and west by a massive rift.
The trench became land, this is called the Fossa Magna.
The city Itoigawa sits right on this ancient fracture! I felt the mystery of deep time.
Speaking of mysterious, otherworldly museum her is epic too!

Fascinating history of Japan. I know Japan was a part of the continent by looking at a map. This video reminded me of a fossil of a shell I found on the muddy shore of an island. I always chuckle when I see names for rocks. I found some big rocks with names when I was hiking in Shosenkyo Gorge. I could not figure out how they came up with those names.
The ramen looks delicious. I will be staying in Utsunomiya for 3 days this fall. I’m looking forward to trying gyoza there.
Thank you for this educational video !
I am surprised that all that talk about pasta and even one the best pasta dishes of Italy (vongole pasta) around 8 minutes didnt set off your hunger alarm 🙂!
