Hey dreamers, after a whole year of dreaming, planning, and saving, the moment is finally here. Welcome to episode one of our Tokyo series, this journey begins a long hall flight aboard Singapore Airlines, where comfort met excitement and anticipation fill the air. We landed in the incredible city of Tokyo and checked into our first hotel overlooking the breathtaking Tokyo Bay. The views absolutely surreal. From navigating the efficient Tokyo subway system to stepping foot in the dream destination that has been on our hearts for so long. This is truly a dream realized. There’s so much wonder ahead and it’s just the beginning. So grab your ears, pack your curiosity, and come along with us because Once Upon a Journey is going international. Hey viewers, welcome. Uh we have a little bit of a surprise for you. We’re here at the airport. We are going to Tokyo. Yeah, we’re going to go to Tokyo Disney. We’re the international leg of LAX and we are about to board a flight to head all the way to Tokyo and take you along with us. This is the start of a a series for Tokyo. We’re going to take you and film as much as we can, but also be in the moment as well. So, come along with us and enjoy this journey with us. Be a long flight. Yeah. [Music] Stop right here. This is a super cool terminal. Wow. [Music] Never been in this terminal before, but super excited to explore and see what we can get ourselves into. Looks like a huge terminal. We’re going to be flying on Singapore Airlines and I think we’re going to be regular economy or just a little bit of an upgrade. So, let’s see how those seats are and see how we like it. So, what do you think, babe? Are you excited to get to Tokyo and explore? Yeah. Are you nervous though for what? The long flight or Yeah, the long flight and then like going to a country that we don’t know anything about. Um, I’m excited. But I heard it’s like very clean and the people are um nice and welcoming. So hopefully that’s the case. Yeah. Right. I’m excited to eat like some of the food and get take in the culture. I don’t know. This is Yeah, this is definitely a trip of a lifetime for sure. We’ll keep you guys in the loop and uh you know, make sure that we’re uh filming as much as we can. This is like a chill so far. It’s been really easy. Sorry. It’s been really easy getting through TSA. TSA pre-check is a way to go. We were able to park our car. We didn’t have to take a long time to get here. I was worried that we were going to be late, but I always worry about us being late, and we’re never late. We’re always exactly on time. We were a little late, but we’re down. You know, that was a good thing cuz I was very worried. I’m the late one in the relationship. So, but we’re starting our trip off on a good note. We’re on time. We’re going to have fun. Let’s do it. So, in terms of parking, we went through the parking spot, but we went through Groupon first. We got a group for $110 and that gives us a value of like $267. So, we got the uncovered option. So, when you go on and register or reserve a time for um the parking spot, what you want to do is it’ll link your promotion code that you get through Groupon and it it takes you all the way through. You have to register or you can register as a guest and then once you’ve done that, you make your reservation and then it kind of puts itself in there in terms of the cost. So, you don’t actually have to pay anything out of pocket. And what was really cool is it’s all automated. So, you get um something on your phone. I actually got a an item to add to my Apple wallet and you just scan yourself all the way through. You park and then we were able to we were lucky enough to get parking near the elevator shuttle. We went right down to the elevator to the shuttle. Shuttle was waiting for us. There was nobody else there. We were on the shuttle by oursel and the very very kind lady Leticia took us straight to the terminal. So, we got here on time. Check-in couldn’t have been easier with Singapore Airlines. Um, from there, we checked our bags, went to through TSA PreCheck. If you guys can get TSA PreCheck, especially traveling international, it’s a super big benefit. Um, no wait whatsoever, very, very minimal. I think we got through TSA in what, like less than 10 minutes on an international flight. And we’re still ahead of time. We’re waiting for our plane to get here. It is a little bit delayed, but I thought we were going to be late. We both thought we were going to be late. So, we’re going to start boarding. [Music] Here [Music] we go. Are you ready? These are actually I mean they’re actually bigger than Yeah. We have a cup holder. [Music] That’s cool. More trash from someone that was sitting here. Okay, that’s cool. Have to dispose of that. You could charge stuff right here. Yeah, premium screen. It’s like an 11 in screen. [Music] It has the uh the little what is this called? Remote or remote console if you’re playing games or watching the screen. And then it comes with a USB, a charger, a cup holder. Yeah. So, these aren’t the regular economy seats. These are a little bit more upgraded. There’s also a little hanger here for if you have a coat, which is really cool. I don’t have a neighbor, so I might move. Make more room. Well, that’s cool. You could do um check yourself. Thank you. [Music] So, this is dinner. I got the fish and white sauce with white wine. It comes with a shrimp salad, piece of bread, and some water. I got a Coke Zero. And Danny got a chicken katoutorii. I also got a piece of bread and a looks like a shrimp salad, some butter and a white wine. Excited to eat. It looks interesting. Let’s see how it tastes. Looks good. We’ll see. They give you the tensors that plastic. That’s really cool. For dessert, it’s Tagash chocolate ice cream. Yum. Out of 10, how would you rate your food? For airline food, I would say maybe like a six, but like in general, four. Okay, downtown head. I did like the couple glasses of wine and then the ice cream. It’s good. That’s a plus. Three. Um, I would probably do a five out of 10. Not that good. The fish was everything was fresh and it tasted healthy. But I don’t know. My favorite part was the ice cream and the cheddar the white cheddar and crackers are really good. Yeah. But yeah, I mean for airplane eating, I would rate it a seven. Definitely. Let’s see it what our next meal looks like. This is a cold park mac and cheese. For dessert, I got velvet simmered food pudding bun and a little salad. You excited about this one? So, here’s our room. Our first room in Tokyo. We’re [Music] I heard the rooms in Tokyo are super small. Let’s look at the view. We have the view of the Tokyo Bay. Look at that. I think this room is all of what? Maybe 200 ft. Bed check. Bed check. Dang, what’s this? We got a view. It’s just for the night and then we check into the Disneyland Resort tomorrow. But all right, there’s a little coffee station here. A little place for our luggage and our shoes. [Music] There’s the restroom, but I don’t know how to turn the light on. Is it up there? Oh, it’s a western restroom, too. Like, it’s a shower. Regular shower. Okay, there’s the bedet. First experience. Let’s see how that goes. Oh, they give you some toothbrushes, some amenities there, some Dove shampoo, a night gown. Sexy. This must be for water. Yeah. Okay, cool. A TV. We’re going to go experience our first Japanese 7-Eleven. Here we go. Just kidding. This 7-Eleven did not have anything that we saw online. So, we’ll try another one in another video. Singapore Airlines does such a great job. I look like haggarded right now cuz I’m so tired. But yeah, the staff was amazing. Day two of our adventure. So, we’re on our way via the transit line to the Disney resort, Toad Disney Resort. And we have our luggage in town and it is hot. Very humid. But it’s a fun it’s a fun adventure so far. Um I’m navigator so if I get a lost hopefully I don’t. But so far so good. What are you doing? It’s it’s very clean. Not compared to like LA or New York. It’s like the systems are very clean and uh sleek. Everyone minds their own business and stuff. So I like it. I like it. It’s just not with that. We have to go. Our train’s here. It looks like we made it, guys. [Music] [Music] How do you feel right now? Excited. Closer. We can’t check in until 3:00 and it’s like what? 11:00 right now. Well, we can take our bags. Oh. [Music] All right. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Don’t kill [Music] [Music] High temperatures are forecasting while I like that they have the announcements of taking the shade and drinking more water and stuff. California right now. [Music] Welcome to [Music] Look at the Dumbo. [Music] Wow. [Music] Oh my god. Shoot. [Music] What do you think so far? This is nuts. [Music] Come down. Hold on. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Wow. Stepping into the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel feels like walking in straight into a fairy tale. From the grand Victorian architecture to the lush landscaping and fountains that welcome you at the entrance. Every detail is bursting with Disney magic. As we walk through the elegant lobby, we’re completely in awe. The chandeliers, the intricate flooring, the whimsical artwork. It’s all designed to transport you to another world. But the real magic was waiting upstairs. [Music] So this is the front of the hotel. People that are parking the resorts. That amazing fountain. It’s beautiful. and the topiary. [Music] Oh my goodness. [Music] [Music] Look at all those cookies. I’m so hungry. [Music] That’s so cool. So, this store is called Bombay, and I think it’s maybe considered that because it’s like the last store that you could hit on the way out. Or [Music] like Danny said, it’s where you can mail stuff out. So, Danny finally found his Tokyo Disney Mickey glasses. So hard to find in the States. And there’s so many of them. There’s so many different varieties and there’s even Winnie the Pooh varieties too. Now the big question is which ones are you going to get? [Music] These are cool. Don’t they have the pink ones too? 2900 yen. Not too bad. [Music] Yeah, they’re like 12 bucks. Get both. [Music] There’s my guy. [Music] That’s so cute. Might have to take that guy home. Let’s go eat. So, we’re headed into the uh Downtown Disney uh area. It’s called Spari. Iari, I think. um in Tokyo Disney. We are starving. We need to find something to eat. Ooh, look at those pancakes. [Music] All right, guys. So, we’re trying out this thing from Strawberry Fetish. It’s the frozen or the candied fruit, the strawberries and grapes. First time trying this. I’ve been These are like one of the ones I’ve been wanting to try here at Tokyo. So, here he goes. First timer. It’s hard. It’s really good. Yeah. What does it taste like? Candy. The fruit with the sweetness of the hard candy. Oh, nice. It’s a good combo. Okay. Taste the grape. Like I’m going to chip it too. The grape is sweeter. I like the strawberry better. So good. Nice. Wow, that’s really good. That’s unexpectedly good. Would you rate it? Like a solid eight. I would say an eight. I just wish they were bigger, but they’re really delicious. Yeah. I wish they were like almost more frozen or cold. Here is a Tokyo Disney store. [Music] So excited to go in here. [Music] So cute. [Music] 2,800 yen for this guy. It’s a sumo Baymax. That’s so cool. [Music] See, what is this place? Is this like a big old like a mall? [Music] [Music] I got a nice latte. It’s so crazy. All of Japan has all these vending machines and some of them are very like decked out and nice. It’s in a bag. That’s cool. All right. [Music] And remember we told you the real magic was waiting upstairs. We had an absolute dream staying in this one themed room. Not just any room though. For Danny, this was especially magical because it’s one of his all-time favorite Disney stories. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we stepped in. As the door slowly creaked open, we stepped into something straight out of a fairy tale. But what lies beyond? You’ll have to wait and see. Next week, we take you inside the enchanting room. One of the most magical experiences we’ve ever had. And that’s just the beginning.
