This park in Chiba is home to a lotus garden made from 2,000-year-old lotus seeds. Welcome to day 14 of 30 of exploring in and around Tokyo in a camper van. And today we’re at a lotus garden in Chiba Park where you can see a formerly extinct species of lotus that was resurrected by Dr. Oga. I was a bit early, but this is what it looks like during the full bloom. There’s also a coffee shop and bakery in the park inside a restored tea house where you can get a hoji cha latte and matcha tier misu.
